Consider this idea, please. Living Forward is about finding the right direction for your life. Vision is both a physical ability and a mental ability. It is said in Proverbs that where there is no vision, the people perish. Perish, in this context, is interpreted as to "aimlessly wander and be lost." Okay, that has a familiar ring to it. I think I've experienced this myself, from time to time. In today's episode, we'll stretch our mental muscles and look for ways to increase our visionary mindsets.
Napoleon Hill said that what our mind can conceive and believe, it can achieve. A visionary mindset is exactly that, a mindset. This is not about just dreaming. This is about formulating a clear image of what you want. There is also a biblical quote in Proverbs that says, "Where there is no vision, the people perish" (Proverbs 29:18). Having a vision of a better self is at the core of living forward. In today's episode, we'll examine the personal best practice of a visionary mindset.
Let's crack open the letter "V" in RESOLVE with an eye to how our mindset can see us at our best or worst. No matter what may be taking place in our day-to-day lives, we can intentionally see our best self emerge victorious.
"RESOLVE: Your Blueprint for Intentional Success." One word in this title is more important than all the others. INTENTIONAL. Today, we pause through the seven letters in RESOLVE to talk about the key to all success. It's intentional behavior. It's intentional mindset. It's about a choice.
John will wrap up this series on the letter "L" in RESOLVE by offering the benefits of learning and the variety of ways we all can keep learning daily.
Rats! Trapped at a doctor's appointment that's running really late. What do we do? Is this an opportunity? It can be. The love of learning is intentional. Seeking to learn is making a decision to use our time and circumstances more effectively. I realized something valuable while waiting "way too long" at the doctor's office. Let's talk about a mindset shift.
"The day you stop learning is the day you start dying." R E A L L Y ? That kind of grates on my nerves. Yet, as I have Lived Forward, it has become a ring of truth in my personal life. Could we consider intentional learning as a "Life-giving behavior?" I believe it has saved my life. Please join me as I share some of the life-giving fundamentals of learning.
What do you think of when you hear the words, "See, Hear, Smell, Taste, Touch?" As we talk about the practice of Life-long Learning, we'll LEARN that a great deal of what we've learned and are continuing to learn is automatic.
Thank you for traveling with me on this journey of discovery and Forward Living. The letter "L" in RESOLVE represents Learning. We are designed to learn things every day. Today is an introduction to a series of episodes examining the learning mindset and the opportunities for beneficial learning. Learning can save your life. Learning should always be an intentional behavior in a life of RESOLVE.
Yes, it's 2025. Whether we make or don't make resolutions, most of us want to experience better days in the future. "Living Forward" is best achieved when we organize our lives around a set of personal best practices. In today's episode, we'll wrap up the letter "O" (for Organization) with a personal call to action. It has helped me. I hope it will help you.
