(Psalm 23:1-3 NLT) The Lord is my shepherd; I have all that I need. (2) He lets me rest in green meadows; he leads me beside peaceful streams. (3) He renews my strength.

(詩篇 23:1-3 新共同訳)主はわたしを青草の原に休ませ／憩いの水のほとりに伴い(3)魂を生き返らせてくださる。主は御名にふさわしく／わたしを正しい道に導かれる。

1. Physical Rest 身体的な休息

(Genesis 2:2-3 NLT) On the seventh day God had finished his work of creation, so he rested from all his work. (3) And God blessed the seventh day and declared it holy, because it was the day when he rested from all his work of creation

(創世記 2:2-3 新改訳)それで神は、第七日目に、なさっていたわざの完成を告げられた。すなわち、第七日目に、なさっていたすべてのわざを休まれた。(3)神はその第七日目を祝福し、この日を聖であるとされた。それは、その日に、神がなさっていたすべての創造のわざを休まれたからである。

(Psalm 28:7 NLT) The Lord is my strength and shield. I trust him with all my heart. He helps me, and my heart is filled with joy. I burst out in songs of thanksgiving.

2. Mental Rest 精神的な休息

(Philippians 4:6-7 NLT) Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done. (7) Then you will experience God’s peace, which exceeds anything we can understand. His peace will guard your hearts and minds as you live in Christ Jesus.

(ピリピ 6:6-7 ALIVE訳)何事も心配するな。心配を祈りに変えるんだ。すでに持っているものに感謝したうえで神に願うのだ！(7) そうすれば、神が安心と自信を注ぎ、精神的に安定させてくれる。 それは、人の考え方では実現不可能なレベルの自信と安心だ。
