I sit down in Jaisalmer, India, with Manvendra, after the Earth One gathering he hosted in Rajasthan. He showed us an extraordinary glimpse into a world that I never knew existed. He is currently restoring dozens of heritage forts and palaces that were otherwise in ruins, using ancient building techniques, local materials, craftsmanship that was all but lost to the world. He's bringing these techniques and communities back to restore these treasures and the people who steward them into modern, luxurious space and community.

I love the way Manvendra bridges ancient and moderns world views. He’s super unique in the way he is able to combine the crafts and heritage cultures of the past with modern techniques and ideas to really bring heritage culture forward.
