What are Cryptocurrencies? ...how to you buy them? ...are they a good investment?
What a new user needs to know: Cryptocurrency is roughly the equivalent of using PayPal or a Debit Card, except the numbers on the screen represent cryptocurrency instead of dollars. All a new user needs to do is set up a Coinbase account or download the Cash App to get started. With Coinbase users can buy, sell, send, receive, and store Bitcoin, Bitcoin Cash, Ether, and Litecoin(Coinbase provides an all-in-one wallet, broker, and exchange service making them a one-stop-shop for new users). With Cash App users can buy, sell, send, receive, and store Bitcoin.
The basic concepts are: To use cryptocurrency, you don’t need to understand it (any more than you need to understand the monetary system to use a debit card). However, if you want to understand cryptocurrency you need to understand the concept of digital currency, the concept of blockchain(both as a public ledger of transactions and a technology), and the concept of cryptography. After-all, cryptocurrency is a digital currency, where transactions are recorded on a public digital ledger called a blockchain, and every process along the way is secured by cryptography. The goal of this page will be to help you understand these things and how they connect.
Cryptocurrency works a lot like bank credit on a debit card. In both cases, a complex system that issues currency and records transactions and balances works behind the scenes to allow people to send and receive currency electronically. Likewise, just like with banking, online platforms can be used to manage accounts and move balances. The main difference between cryptocurrency and bank credit is that instead of banks and governments issuing the currency and keeping ledgers, an algorithm does.

Despite international attempts to broker a ceasefire, conflict in the region is intensifying, with civilian casualties increasing and concerns of a full-blown humanitarian crisis mounting. On Monday, Israel conducted dozens of airstrikes on the Gaza Strip, after Palestinian militants fired barrages of rockets at southern Israeli cities in the latest fighting. But while this marks some of the worst violence seen in the region, the history of the conflict goes back decades.
A timeline of the conflict
1920
Britain takes control of the region known as Palestine after the Ottoman Empire is defeated in World War One.
At this time, the land is inhabited by an Arab majority, with a Jewish minority, but without conflict.
1920s to 1940s
Britain begins establishing a 'national home' for Jews in the region as more and more Jewish people flee persecution in Europe.
This leads to an increase in tensions between the groups - the area is seen as the ancestral home of both Jews and Arabs, with both groups claiming rights to the land.
After World War Two as more Jews flee to the region, violence between the groups grows, as well as against British rule.

Top 5 Things to do If My Email gets Hacked?
Wondering what to do when your email is hacked? Here are four steps you can take right now to regain control of your account, banish the hacker, and help protect yourself in the future.
1. Change your credentials.
The first step: Take back control of your account. If the hacker has locked you out, you may have to contact your email service provider for help. You will probably have to provide an array of information to prove your identity and regain control of your email.
If you do still have access to your account, make these changes right away:
2. Warn your contacts.
Tell the colleagues, friends, and family in your email contact list that your email has been hacked. Warn them to delete any suspicious messages that come from your account. Also tell them not to open applications, click on links, share credit card information, or send money. It can be embarrassing to let your contacts know you’ve been hacked, but the warning may save them from falling for a scam.
3. Look for signs of trouble.
Hackers may make changes to allow them to get into your account again or even to continue to scam people after you’ve taken back control of the account. To prevent this, you should take these steps:

How does Air Pollution from Factory Farming affect the Environment?
The smell of hog feces was overwhelming, Elsie Herring said. The breezes that wafted from the hog farm next to her mother’s Duplin County, N.C., home carried hazardous gases: methane, ammonia, hydrogen sulfide.
“The odor is so offensive that we start gagging, we start coughing,” she told a congressional committee in November 2019. Herring, who died last week, said she and other residents developed headaches, breathing problems and heart conditions from the fumes.
Now, a first-of-its-kind study shows that air pollution from Duplin County farms is linked to roughly 98 premature deaths per year, 89 of which are linked to emissions directly caused by hogs. Those losses are among more than 17,000 annual deaths attributable to pollution from farms across the United States, according to research published today in the Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences.

Johns Hopkins neuroscientist Mark Mattson, Ph.D., has studied intermittent fasting for 25 years. He says that our bodies have evolved to be able to go without food for many hours, or even several days or longer. In prehistoric times, before humans learned to farm, they were hunters and gatherers who evolved to survive — and thrive — for long periods without eating. They had to: It took a lot of time and energy to hunt game and gather nuts and berries.
Even 50 years ago, it was easier to maintain a healthy weight. Johns Hopkins dietitian Christie Williams, M.S., R.D.N., explains: “There were no computers, and TV shows turned off at 11 p.m.; people stopped eating because they went to bed. Portions were much smaller. More people worked and played outside and, in general, got more exercise.”
If you are eating meat, cheese, and highly processed foods, chances are you have elevated levels of inflammation in your body. While short-term inflammation (such as after an injury) is normal and necessary, inflammation that lasts for months or years is not. Chronic inflammation has been linked to the development of atherosclerosis, heart attacks, strokes, diabetes, and autoimmune diseases, among other conditions.

Healthful meals and snacks should form the foundation of the human diet. A simple way to create a meal plan is to make sure that each meal consists of 50 percent fruit and vegetables, 25 percent whole grains, and 25 percent protein. Total fiber intake should be 25–30 grams (g) daily.
Eliminate trans fats from the diet, and minimize the intake of saturated fats, which has a strong link with the incidence of coronary heart disease.
Instead, people can consume monounsaturated fatty acids (MUFA) or polyunsaturated fatty acids (PUFA), which are types of unsaturated fat.

The Many Benefits of Cold Showers (HydroTherapy)
A lot of the research into the benefits of cold showers suggests that the water does not necessarily need to be cold for the entire duration of the shower for the person to experience positive effects.
A person can start by taking a warm shower and then switching the water to cold for a brief time. This could be anywhere from 30 seconds to 2 minutes.
Some people prefer to take just a brief cold shower of around 5–10 minutes. This may also be a practical approach to cold water therapy.
Several studies cite a target cold temperature of about 68°F (20°C), according to an article in the journal Medical Hypotheses.
However, most of the time, a person’s own perceptions of cold water are enough to make changing the temperature effectively.

Why Do We Forget?
Traditionally, forgetting has been regarded as a passive decay over time of the information recorded and stored in the brain. But while some memories may simply fade away like ink on paper exposed to sunlight, recent research suggests that forgetting is often more intentional, with erasure orchestrated by elaborate cellular and molecular mechanisms. And forgetfulness is not necessarily a sign of a faulty memory. “In fact,” Wimber says, “it’s been shown over and over in computational models and also in animal work that an intelligent memory system needs forgetting.”
Far from signifying failure, forgetting may be the brain’s frontline strategy in processing incoming information. Forgetting is essential, some researchers now argue, because the biological goal of the brain’s memory apparatus is not preserving information, but rather helping the brain make sound decisions. Understanding how the brain forgets may offer clues to enhancing mental performance in healthy brains while also providing insights into the mechanisms underlying a variety of mental disorders.
