A number of years ago my wife Esther developed a personal health care system. While overseeing her mother's care, she found inconsistencies and errors in the medical information at doctor's offices, hospitals, emergency rooms and labs. Travel is an activity that many seniors look forward to as their retirement approaches; to see their country and the world.  In this "Travel: A Retirees Experiences" podcast, I will address my wife and my travels over the last 20 years of our retirement.  We have spent from a few weeks to a few months a year traveling; visiting places we haven't been before. Our travels included owning and traveling in a motor home, owning and taking advantage of timeshare exchanges, staying at an all-inclusive resort with our entire family, taking land tours in a number of countries, taking river cruises in Europe and enjoying many ocean cruises in the Caribbean, the Mediterranean and to Alaska. During this podcast, I will discuss the types of travel we did and what we enjoyed the most and the least.  Hopefully our experiences will provide some food for thought for your future travel plans.

My wife and I were on a motorhome trip touring the north western United States and Canada. During the trip, one morning after breakfast we visited Mt. Rainier National Park. We got to the south side of the mountain and looked at this perfectly shaped snow capped 14,410 foot high cone pointing high up into the clear blue sky. What a site!

We hiked the trails viewing the mountain, including the glacier. The next day was my wife's birthday and she suggested we visit and hike the north side of the mountain. Well, we did and it turned out to be a day she will never forget.
