  • #RetroRadio “SCARY STORIES OF SEDUCTIVE SUCCUBI”, “THE DEVIL MADE ME DO IT” and more! #WeirdDarkness
IN THIS EPISODE: You’ve crawled into bed ready for a good night’s sleep. You begin to nod off, but haven’t completely fallen asleep yet. That’s when you sense something in the room near your bed. Despite your fright, you can’t cry out, run, or scream. The thing then climbs on top of you and suddenly you realize it’s grotesque, but also alluring – female, seductive, and while you can’t move, your body still responds to her intimate advances. You’ve just become the next victim of the succubus.*** The Devil made me do it" is the oldest excuse in the world; and for nearly every crime it is just that, an excuse. But I said “nearly” every crime. Once in a while there are crimes where the perpetrator is the real deal. We’ll look at real crimes committed by real demons. (The Devil Made Me Do It) *** An exorcism consultant tells us about one of the creepiest cases he was ever called in on. A case very different than other exorcisms he had been a part of or witness to. (The Creepiest Exorcism Case Ever) *** And while on the subject of exorcisms, we’ll exorcise one more demon – one that is reeking havoc in, of all places, a printing office. (The Demon of the Printing Office) *** Did you know that you are honoring one of hell’s seven princes every time you use the toilet? I’ll tell you about Belphegor – who prefers offerings of human feces! PLUS… is a Succubus just sleep paralysis?

  • #RetroRadio “HAUNTED ASYLUMS” and more Creepy True Stories! #WeirdDarkness
IN THIS EPISODE: A man calling himself Roland T. Owen checked into room 1046 of the Hotel President in Kansas City, Missouri, on January 2, 1935. In just two days' time, he would be dead. But no one knows who killed him, and it has become one of history’s most popular mysteries – The Mystery of Room 1046. (The Mystery of Room 1046) *** Ghosts are spooky – but zombies are even worse. But what if you came across a ghost zombie? That’s exactly the terror Scandinavian Vikings had to deal with! (Ghost Zombie of the Vikings) *** Can you raise someone in a way to create a phobia within them? Sure, that would be cruel and inhumane to do – but is it possible? That’s what a couple of behaviorists wanted to find out… and so they went about studying on it by experimenting on a tiny child. (The Little Albert Experiment) *** Did a woman accidentally kill her husband because of a Bugs Bunny cartoon… or was it murder? It’s the bizarre case of Linda Duffey Gwozdz. (The Looney Tunes Murderess) *** "The voice sounded close, yet at the same time, so far away. It was the most pitiful and horrifying cry I had ever heard." That’s how a seasoned paranormal investigator described what they heard in an abandoned asylum. (A Ghost Encounter In a Forsaken Asylum) *** We’ll also take a look at a few asylums that are said to be so creepy, so haunted, that you would never want to be locked in there – day or night. (Five Haunted Asylums) *** If you’re a fan of the movie “Ferris Bueler’s Day Off” you might remember the “Sausage King of Chicago” scene. That person was fictional of course, and the title was played for laughs. But have you ever heard of the Sausage Ghost of Chicago? That too may sound like it was made-up for laughs – but no, the Sausage Ghost of Chicago is a story that is all too true. (The Sausage Ghost of Chicago)

  • #RetroRadio “THE MOST HAUNTED LIGHTHOUSES IN THE WORLD” #WeirdDarkness
IN THIS EPISODE: Accounts of haunted lighthouses have existed for hundreds of years. To many they are considered to be isolated and romantic. Some lighthouses are possibly haunted due to tragedies from shipwrecks or other horrors that have spawned all sorts of lighthouse lore. Some who have spent the night at a haunted lighthouse come away with stories to share such as seeing a former lighthouse keeper, or resident of the keeper's home. Could they still be present in some form after their death? Could keepers possibly remain behind to make sure no further tragedies occur at sea? Perhaps the worst fear of a lighthouse keeper, a ship wrecked upon the rocks, is why some lighthouses continue to be haunted by their former captains. Lights turning on, movement of objects, disembodied voices, and see-through specters are often reported within, or around older lighthouses. Are the ghosts of these souls still on duty? Modern-day tragedies at sea still occur and so do the ghosts that eventually haunt our world. If their walls could talk, lighthouses could share many stories from the past. Unfortunately, these objects don’t have the ability to tell their tales – but the phantoms that haunt them just might.

  • #RetroRadio “Disconcerting Doppelganger Deeds” and More Terrifying True Horrors! #WeirdDarkness
IN THIS EPISODE: Violence, mayhem, even rape. Horrifying atrocities committed by the most evil of human beings – but in one case, in Culver City, California, it wasn’t a man who engaged in these obscenities, but specters of the paranormal. (A Famous Case of Frightening Entities) *** We’ll look at a handful of out-of-body experience stories directly from those who lived through them – and they might change your opinion about the afterlife. (Surviving Out of Body Experiences) *** Weirdo family member Daniel Hagan shares how he once explored some woods on his bike and ended up pedaling for his life to escape paranormal beasts that appeared from nowhere. (Demon Dogs) *** Digging in their backyard, two brothers find what appear to be small human heads carved of stone… but the curious find turns creepy once they bring the heads into the house, resurrecting sightings of a wolf-like creature not seen in almost seventy years. (Hexam Heads and the Wolf of Allendale) *** In 1886 Chicago, one of the nation’s very first serial killers would build a sadistic chamber of horrors to live out his most demented fantasies. (Murder Castle of Chicago) *** We’ll look at true encounters from Redditors who claim to have come across doppelgangers – their exact duplicates, or duplicates of those they love – and it’s almost always a disturbing experience. (Creepy Encounters With Real Doppelgangers)

  • #WeirdDarkness #RetroRadio “An Accidental Mass Murder at Oregon State Hospital” and More!
IN THIS EPISODE: The governor called it “mass murder” in 1942 when forty-seven patients died at the Oregon State Hospital – all within hours. All of them, poisoned. Finding the murderer and motive would lead to an unexpected conclusion, and to an unrelenting haunting. (An Accidental Mass Murder at Oregon State Hospital) *** It was 1973, and the small town of Murphysboro, Illinois had quite a scare with numerous people encountering what many described as a large gorilla-like creature. We might call it Bigfoot or Sasquatch – they called it a “Big Muddy Monster”. (A Big Muddy Monster) *** In November, 1978, four employees at a hamburger restaurant are kidnapped and murdered. Almost forty-five years later, seven employees at a fried chicken establishment are found slain – their bodies found in the restaurant’s walk-in freezer. One case found justice… the other is still waiting. (The Burger Chef and Brown’s Chicken Murders) *** In Germanic and Scandinavian folklore, a child murdered by their mother is known as a Kindermorderinn – and if that child is a boy and decides to appear from beyond the dead, he’s considered a “Radiant Boy”. And there are numerous stories of their hauntings. (Radiant Boy) *** Grace Stevens was excited to attend her company’s annual picnic with friends and co-workers, dressing for the occasion, hoping to possibly meet her future Prince Charming. Her company was splurging and inviting everyone to take a ship from Chicago across Lake Michigan to attend the party in Michigan City. They never arrived. (Grace Stevens And The Tragedy Of The U.S.S. Eastland) *** In 1947 a woman jumped to her death from 86th floor of the Empire State Building… yet today, her ghost still needs to use the building’s bathroom facilities. (The Haunted Empire State Building Bathroom)

  • “The Case Of The Obsessed Uncle” #MurderNoir
THE TRUE STORY THIS EPISODE IS BASED ON: In 1954, 11-year-old Jeanette Earnest was abducted by her uncle, 48-year-old Thurman Priest, in Fort Worth, Texas. Jeanette's mother Nadine had previously noticed Priest's inappropriate obsession with Jeanette and tried to keep him away from her daughter. After the abduction, Priest took Jeanette to motels in Texas, Kansas and Missouri. Evidence suggests he sexually assaulted her during this time. Jeanette tried to escape at one point but Priest caught her and forced her back into the car. Priest eventually shot and killed Jeanette, leaving her body in a wooded area off a highway in Missouri. He was arrested after calling his wife from a motel. Priest claimed he and Jeanette were in love, but more likely she rejected his sexual advances, leading him to kill her in anger. In 1955, Priest was convicted of the murder and sentenced to life in prison. He died of a heart attack in prison in 1960.
