  • Israel Connections: Kevin Jessip - From Repentance to Reformation

Everyone probably knows a pastor or ministry leader, and everyone knows a successful business owner. It’s likely that everyone has met a government consultant at some point. Those who meet Kevin Jessip have met all of those in one person – and they’ve also met a former gang member! Kevin comes from a long line of pastors, so it’s no surprise that he had a divine call on his life from birth.

Kevin’s story is one of redemption, reconciliation, and restoration. After God intervened in his teenage years, he served in ministry with some of the most recognizable names of the last 50 years, including David Wilkerson, Jack Hayford, Reinhard Bonnke, and Jonathan Cahn. He has labored for many years to see the church worldwide come to full repentance and walk in the fullness of God’s calling. Today, he has a heart for the restoration of all Israel as Christians and Jews come together in their shared adoration of the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob.

  • Reunion Roadmap Midrash: Foundations Crumble

What are God's people supposed to do when everything good and normal is called into question? How do we live when the things we used to rely on are no longer reliable? Barry Phillips and David Jones put some thought to those questions as our world changed in 2020. The points they raised then are still valid now as the changes in our world continue to take us out of our comfort zone.

  • Israel Connections: Bob O'Dell - Five Years with Orthodox Jews

What is it that keeps Christians and Jews from getting to know one another on a meaningful level? There are obvious differences, but there are also many points of connection, as Bob O’Dell has learned over the years. Bob joins us to talk about his book, Five Years With Orthodox Jews: How Connecting With God’s People Unlocks Understanding of God’s Word. Bob relates how this book came to be through his partnership with Gidon Ariel at Root Source. Those who understand the Hebrew Roots of our faith and the central role of the Jewish people in God’s plans will appreciate this conversation. Those who are not yet familiar with these topics may be surprised at how much we have in common and can learn from one another!

  • Reunion Roadmap Midrash: Worship

Is there are prescribed form of worship? Does true worship require music? What is more important: presentation or performance? Is there a particular culture of worship, or does worship reflect the culture of the worshippers? These are among the questions Ed Boring and Barry Phillips investigate in this conversation about worship.

  • Kevin Jessip: From Repentance to Reformation, part 5

What happens when we do church by formula instead of by the living Word of God and the breath of His Spirit? Kevin Jessip has some thoughts on that, and on a number of other issues impacting God’s people – Christians and Jews – in these turbulent days. In this concluding segment of our conversation, Kevin shares his ideas on where we are going, as well as a few resources to help us get there.

This strange time we are living through may seem chaotic, but not from God’s perspective. He is the God of order, which is why He established His Law to govern the universe. What does that mean for us? Barry and David talk about that in their midrash, Law and Order. Where is this taking us? Greg Brown and Jimmie Black tell us about that in their music.

  • Kevin Jessip: From Repentance to Reformation, part 4

What does Yeshua mean when He says, “the least of these My brethren” (Matthew 25:40)? Is He talking about Christians, or about His Jewish kin? Kevin Jessip emphasizes that our Jewish Messiah most certainly was referring to the Jewish people. With that in mind, how should we interact with Jewish people and the State of Israel today? That’s where we begin in this fourth part of our conversation with Kevin.

How we treat our Jewish brethren is important to our God. This is one of the many ways He places before us the choice of blessing or cursing, and life and death. It’s not just a Jewish thing, but an important aspect of our own Israelite identity. Barry and David talk about that in their midrash, Set Before You. We hear more about it in musical offerings from the Aleph Tav Band and from Mason Clover.

  • Kevin Jessip: From Repentance to Reformation, part 3

What’s the difference between a mantle and an anointing? Kevin Jessip learned the difference from German evangelist Reinhard Bonnke. He shares that with us in this third part of our conversation, and then goes on to share how he has walked out the anointing God placed on him through solemn assemblies such as The Return in Washington, DC, and The Trial in The Hague.

Much of what Kevin has learned and accomplished in his various endeavors is connected to bringing people back into relationship with our Creator, and with one another. That’s what Barry and David talk about in their midrash, Hating Your Brother. It’s also what Mason Clover and Samuel & Benjamin Wearp sing about in their musical offerings.

  • Kevin Jessip: From Repentance to Reformation, part 2

What’s an armor bearer? We read in the Bible about the armor bearer of Jonathan, son of King Saul, who accompanied him everywhere to help carry his burdens and to ensure he had everything he needed to go into battle. The armor bearer even fought alongside him in battle. Now imagine what an armor bearer does for a ministry  leader, and you have an idea of Kevin Jessip’s young adult years as the armor bearer of evangelist Phil Enloe! In this second part of our conversation, Kevin tells us how Phil Enloe and other seasoned veterans of the faith mentored him over the years and were used of God to prepare and support him in his own ministry efforts – even after he left active ministry!

Kevin is a living example of how the promises of God are “yes” and “amen” in Messiah Yeshua. But then, what exactly does God’s “yes” mean? Barry and David investigate that in their midrash. As we hear in the music of Teshuva and Solomon Lopez, God’s yes is a function of His mercy that invites a response from all nations.

In this five part interview, we’ll hear how he was walked out that calling, starting with how redemption found him when he was a troubled youth.

Kevin’s story is one of redemption, reconciliation, and restoration. That’s the topic Barry and David address in their midrash called Reconciliation or Restoration, and what the Aleph Tav Band and Mason Clover sing about in their musical offerings.

  • Reunion Roadmap Midrash: Disagreement

Is it possible to disagree with someone, but still like them? What if the disagreement is over a deeply held belief - such as which holidays to celebrate, which political candidate to support, and which doctrines to follow? Disagreements come at us from all directions. The real test is how we handle them, as Barry and David discuss in this midrash.
