John 18:33-37

What is it like to be an uninvited guest versus the experience of being invited? To be invited means that there is a place of honor. It is about being accepted and known. It is an experience of affirmation. When this happens in the process of a shared spiritual gathering, we are left empowered and uplifted. We are left feeling affirmed and encouraged. In the scripture found in Mark 13:1-8, Jesus is leaving the temple feeling empowered and also seeing that he is clear about what is important, and what is about to take place. His vision is about the birth of a new beginning. We are on the threshold of a new beginning.

Mark 13:1-8

Recent events challenge us all. Despite how events in teh world unfold, we are called upon as Christians to hold on to our commitment to love and hope. How do we do this? What does it take to make it happen? How to love in the face of challenge is the lesson to be learned.

It is counterintuitive to “Love your enemies and pray for those who persecute us.”  Yet, this is what we are instructed to do in Matthew 5:44.
There is a tremendous power in learning this lesson and you are invited to try it on.

Matthew 5:43-48

It is true that we have all that we need within. Unfortunately, we have forgotten that these solutions are located within. In truth, we are far wealthier than we realize. When our focus is on what we may not have, we lose sight of the wealth that we possess. This is. An opportunity to realize the wealth that we have and how to have this wealth restored in our awareness.

Psalm 126

When we pray for protection, it must be realized that the prayer is for our higher spiritual selves and not so much for the physical. When we are in tune with the presence of God within, we know and experience freedom from fear, we know God’s peace, and we embrace God’s love. This state of being is a Christian’s place of refuge. This is our place of peace regardless of human circumstances.

Psalm 91:1-9

There is a messiness in the world with our world leaders. How can we help to create a better world balance? What is to be done with and for those who hold positions of a sacred trust. Leading masses of people is a sacred trust. We who support them need to pray that these leaders know God and understand fully what it means to hold that sacred trust.

1 Timothy 2:1-7

Have you ever been thrown under the bus? Have you ever been betrayed? What is there to do to repair these relationships and situations? Getting to the point of repair begins with acknowledging who you are in God’s kingdom, and how we are to Forgive as Christians. True freedom domes out of genuine forgiveness.

Psalm 26 

Are we all insane? What does it look like to live in your right mind? Living a Christ-centered life does not have to reflect the life of a religious zealot or a hermit. Living a life committed to the will of God is what will save this world from the unnecessary harm imposed on the earth and more importantly on other lives.
We can change that outcome.
