Thank God for God. We may search high and low for solutions to address many of our challenges and at the end of the day, as they say, it all comes back to God.In the book of Psalm, chapter 121, there is a prayer focused on giving praise to God for being God. there is a humble awareness that our strength, our power, our peace comes from the Lord. It doesn’t come from friends, it doesn’t come from diets, it doesn’t come magically from our own desires. It all comes from the Lord and what we do with these gifts is how God would have us be expressions in the world. Thank God for God.God bless,Rev LeonPsalm 121

During this season of Lent, many are sacrificing something as a gesture of honoring the sacrifices made by Jesus. When Jesus was in the wilderness and was tempted to have food offered by the devil, he resisted. In the same spirit of sacrifice, he offered his life. What sustained Jesus during those times of sacrifice?What was the source of power that he called upon?How do our sacrifices measure up?What do you rely upon for sustenance?Bread is not enough.God blessRev LeonMatthew 4:4

We know what it is like to hear and not listen. We also know what it is like when we speak and are not heard. We who are believers know the difference between our will and what has been placed in our hearts to express God’s will. Psalm 15 does a wonderful job of answering the question of what it takes to be worthy to sit at God's table. There is an old saying that says if you're not at the table, then you are on the menu. While we may proclaim to be people of faith, how often do we come together in faith? How do we support each other in that faith? In looking at our circles of friends and associates, what do these circles represent? In looking at promoting love, the outcome is predictable, the experience is predictable, the presence of God’s love is icing on the cake. What does God's kind of love look like in the real world? Why does love matter anyway. Love isn't going to pay my bills or cover my rent. Why is this an issue anyway? Perhaps if we were to embrace and demonstrate God's kind of love, we could transform the world. Let's try on God's kind of love.God bless,Rev Leon

How do you come to be named? Are you named for a famous movie star or a favorite relative? Did you come to be named because your parents agreed on a particular name? Maybe you were named after an element of nature, such as Winter. Naming can dictate the course of our lives and actions. The real question for today is what is that name that is written on your heart? What name did God give you? Who are you, in God’s name? Must true love involve sacrifice? Does the love you enjoy in your life involve sacrifice? Do you sacrifices for love match the sacrifices that have be made in the name of love for you?God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten son.. What greater sacrifice can there be?
