You are behind the wheel of your life, but are you aware of where you are going and are you fully in control? We live life to avoid pain, but we often forget what we have learned in embracing our pain. Growth only comes through pain.
How are you doing with being still? So many of us are being cranky and some of us are throwing tantrums. We are challenged with the conditions imposed for the safety of all.
Even in the face of tragic outcomes, we must not forget God. Despite what happens, God is with us. That is why it is important to be still so that we can connect with that awareness of the presence of God in and around us.
Even on a cloudy day we know that the sun is still there. Just as the sun is there, so is God. When we might not feel the presence of God, despite this, God is still with us.
Just as in times when the sun is shining and there may be a rain shower, God is ever present and there for us. Let us not forget that God is with us.
Be careful about your wishes to return to normal. What was 'normal' is the very thing that got us here. The question becomes who will you be on the other side? How will you be called forth in this new world? What can you provide to heal the world?
Those are the questions for the creation of a new normal and it can only happen with you.
This pandemic has the world in its grip. We celebrate folks who are recovering, but what does recovery mean? What does it mean to return to normal? Should we ignore this 'memo' and return to mediocrity? This is a wake up call for the divine in each of us.
Who do you say I am?
This is the question Jesus presented to Peter. Who will the world say you are after your resurrection?
There is a lesson in this crisis that should not be overlooked. What is God trying to tell us? What is there to learn here? Our prayer is to learn how we are more connected than we realize. In knowing about our connection, we can bring God's truth to the world in powerfully healing ways. We are more together than apart.
God bless,
