Sunday Service: Revelation 2:1–7 is Jesus' message to the church in Ephesus, commending them for their hard work, perseverance, intolerance of evil, and discernment against false apostles. However, He rebukes them for abandoning their love for God and for one another. Jesus urges them to repent and return to the works they did at first, warning that if they do not, He will shut down their church. Yet, He also praises them for hating the practices of the Nicolaitans, which He also hates. The message concludes with a promise that those who overcome will be given the right to eat from the tree of life in the paradise of God.
