Although Mother's Day is not a liturgical feast, it provides an opportunity for Catholics to life their gaze to their heavenly mother, the Blessed Virgin Mary. This day also invites us to consider the role mothers play in the life of the family and the Church, for motherhood is a spiritual work directed toward the formation of souls in cooperation with God's grace.
