Jesus said that the church in Laodicea made him sick.  This sounds harsh, but they were a body that didn’t truly believe in Him.  They didn’t think they needed Jesus and didn’t realize that they had no spiritual life.  He called them lukewarm.  As Pastor John explains today, they were neither on fire for Jesus or a cool and refreshing source of life in Christ.  They were oblivious to their own desperate need.  They had an empty religion and no salvation.  God could do nothing with them.
