Satan lies. Surprised? You shouldn’t be; the enemy of God will do whatever he can to pull you away from the truth, and frequently, that includes manipulation and distortion of reality. Don’t be fooled; if the Bible says one thing and the enemy is whispering another in your ear, trust the Bible. God continually proves He’s right throughout Scripture and throughout your life.
