Have you ever wondered what all the fuss is about regarding God and Christianity? Isn't it just one of my religions? What makes it special or different from every other world religion? This is probably one of the most important podcast series they will ever do and you won't want to miss a single episode. It's sure to inform, encourage, strengthen faith, and give the foundation of all truth.
Rachel & Lisa just finished up their very first podcast season and wanted to have a “let’s catch up on life" type episode with one another and with you! So pull up a chair and your favorite cup of whatever as the girls catch up on ALL THE THINGS from “75 Hard”, Mother’s Day, love languages, marriage, life with kids, makeup, keeping the house clean, the need to be in control, OCD, finding balance in life, living with awareness, figuring out what is important in life, and so much more! At the conclusion of this episode they also introduce the upcoming summer season episodes topic that you won't want to miss out on.
In our last episode, “Girl, you need a friend”, we discussed the importance of healthy friendships. And as we were recording that episode we were reminded that it’s totally impossible to have healthy friendships without having healthy boundaries because healthy people with healthy boundaries make for relationships so rich and fulfilling, The truth is, you don’t NEED lots of friends, you just need a few solid ones. In this episode we are going to do some real talk about boundaries, what they are, who needs them, a litmus test for friendships, signs of a toxic friends and how to “break up” with people who don't align with all that is life giving and good.
Boundaries are fences, not walls. They protect our heart, mind, and soul and allow us the freedom to mutually love and support one another in a healthy way that contributes life rather than steal it away.
On a scale of one to ten, how honestly satisfied do you feel in your current friendships?
Did you know that loneliness is the number one public health crisis of all time?
Research shows that loneliness is as damaging to our health as:
Smoking 15 cigarettes a day
Being a life-long alcoholic
Not exercising
Twice as harmful as obesity
In this real and raw episode, Rachel and Lisa get down to the nitty gritty of their own personal take on friendship and share personal stories in which they walk through examples of both healthy and unhealthy friendships and the impact of those relationships. They also discuss what healthy friendships look like and the importance of becoming the kind of person you want to attract.
The revolutionary woman is called to be part of the relationship solution, not just another disappointed victim of the systems of American culture. The world needs revolutionary women believers who are capable of building strong, healthy relationships for our children, for our homes, and our spouses, for our leaders, for our customers, and for our organizations, so that each person feels seen and valued for who they are. This episode reminds us of the importance of doing the work to grow strong, healthy and life-giving relationships.
It's easy to look around our world and even the issues and the dark corners of our own life and feel like we are helpless to shift the reality of the way things are. But are we really? Should believers be victims to our circumstances around us, or could there be some role waiting for us to realize we have and operate in? The real issue is that so many believers do not know, understand or operate in their God- given authority and so they feel powerless to do anything to change things in their world.
The purpose of this episode is connecting you with the authority that is yours and is spiritually endowed authority delegated to you by God if you are a believer in Jesus Christ.
The darkness we see in culture and often in our lives is often because there is a gap between us trying to operate human wisdom instead of Heavenly authority. But God wants His children to walk in KINGDOM AUTHORITY that is already ours, because of the cross.
If you’ve watched or read any news lately, you’d know that it’s not difficult to see that our nation, and even the American church are smack dab in the midst of a massive identity crisis. Some even seem confused about what gender parts are attached to their body and it's getting just a bit ridiculous. We are in a time where even too many believers and even leaders have forgotten who they are, and what they stand for.
Identity is not based on feeling, it’s based on absolute truth. That’s why this dangerous cultural trend of labeling yourself based on how you feel is total garbage and despite what the culture says, it will always leave you empty and confused.
Every cell, every organ, every single aspect of who you are is made in the image of God. That means that any person, system, culture, or government that seeks to re-define who you are is actually anti-God and must be resisted. Gender aside, knowing who you are is the bedrock of everything about you and whether or not you live a revolutionary life, anchored in truth that positively and boldly impacts culture like you were meant to do.
We invite you to listen in as we dig deeper into the important topic of “Identity” where Lisa and Rachel open up and share real life stories of their own regarding identity that are sure to bless you in podcast episode #3 that just dropped
In this laid back, lighthearted episode, Rachel & Lisa talk about their friendship, how podcasting together came about as well as hashing out people who don't like their boldness and the necessity for a total revolution of truth in the midst of a culture turned upside down.
