Jared Milrad interviews award-winning writer Maggie Cohn, who was co-showrunner on HBO Max's limited series, THE STAIRCASE, starring Colin Firth and Toni Collette. Previously, Cohen was a Co-EP on NARCOS and won a Golden Globe for her work on AMERICAN CRIME STORY: VERSACE, on which she was a writer and producer. Maggie opens up about her process for developing THE STAIRCASE, which explores the murder investigation and conviction of Marine Corps. veteran Michael Petersen, who was a novelist, newspaper columnist, and mayoral candidate convicted of murdering his wife Kathleen in December 2001. Jared and Maggie also discuss the role of a showrunner, her career trajectory, and the importance of inclusion and representation in Hollywood.
