None of this is fucking action. It is a DISTRACTION. The self help industry is a billion dollar industry. No different to your baby’s sippy cup marketing. The same. Stop being fuzzy and do something. Now.

Also, do things that make you feel good. Feel fun. Laugh. Smile. Joy. Cry. Feel. Be a person. Not someone always looking to be fixed. The only fixing is doing live your life mama.

Your kid's behavior is the message of what needs to be changed. Many of us are missing the messages. We need to change what we do so our kids can respond. It's like a post-it note to stick on your fridge. Kid's behavior is hard, I must change my action. This is actually not true. I talk about how behaviour is actually from our children having an overflow of things to do but have very undernourished basic needs. Food and sleep is a big gap for many kids and really needs to be looked at as a behavior management tool.

I call bullshit on mums not being able to have fun. I have a busy life, it is very full, but I can still have loads of fun. So much fun. I know how easily available ease and grace is to me. Even if I stop doing all the jobs so I can have fun.

When our kids demand a lot of us we as mamas start to feel unsafe. Most of us do not recognize this. Once we recognize that this lack of safety has become to happen, then we can work on strategies to change it with our kids.

Shhhhh I have a secret.....guess what....separation and independence are not the same things. Your kids being able to leave you is not the same as independence. Independence is the way a child manages to move through this world, on their own. Without support. The foundations of this can only be built in the family home. You are the guider of independence and autonomy. 

Products or toys as we call them are the remover of independence. Every toy, you buy, takes time away from your children being integrated into the home. When they play with toys they are not cooking, when they are playing with water trolleys they are not gardening.....anything you buy takes away from independence. Those toy kitchens in fact make your kids less able to cook than ever before......

Every mama I talk to always talks about how tired she and her kids are. tired. we all just seem so tired. But is it true tiredness? I think it's not! I think it is related to our CNS and it puts us in this state of exhaustion. a scary state.
