  • Dwell Within My Heart
    Dwell Within My Heart
    Verse 1:
    Let Your Spirit, Holy Spirit, dwell within my heart;
    Write Your holy name and Your sacred laws upon my heart.
    Though I was a sinner, You laid down Your life to rescue mine, Lord;
    No gift could ever repay Your love; I give You all of my heart.
    Verse 2:
    Take me, Lord, for I am safe within Your hands;
    Shape my heart to reflect Your glory throughout the earth.
    Awaken me, Lord; stir my soul, O precious Saviour;
    You are my refuge, my shield, my defender, my one true Lord.
    Chorus:
    Holy Father, there is no one else worthy of all praise;
    We stand before You, Lord, with hearts overflowing, lifting songs of praise.
    Gracious Father, there is no one clothed in glory like You;
    We stand before You, Lord, with hearts overflowing, lifting songs of praise.
    Verse 3:
    O gentle Lord, the Lover of my soul, I surrender all to You;
    Within Your loving arms You made me whole and cleansed my soul.
    Merciful Lord, the Lover of my soul, I come to You;
    I lay my burdens at Your feet, O faithful and patient One. *Chorus*

  • By Your Word
    By Your Word
    Verse 1:
    When the world wounded me, You held me in Your loving arms,
    Wiped my tears away, and gently kissed my heart.
    When my strength failed me, You rose upon Your mighty throne.
    The heavens thundered at Your voice,
    And Your love restored my soul.
    Pre-Chorus:
    Lover of my soul, Your love is stronger than the strongest rock.
    By Your grace, I rise above the mountains standing in my path.
    Lord, You are my refuge, my shelter through the raging storm.
    Jesus, my Redeemer, my only hope through every storm.
    Chorus:
    Holy, holy is our God,
    Mighty, mighty is the Lord.
    With Your Word, You rule from up on high and gave us victory.
    With Your mighty sword, You split the dragon in half and crowned us with victory.
    Verse 2:
    You cleansed my soul, O dear Lord, with Your precious blood.
    You saved my soul, O gracious Lord, with Your blood on the Cross.
    I surrender to You, Lord.
    You are the Way, the Truth, and the Life.
    Rap:
    Since birth You've been there; You'd shake the world to keep me safe.
    My heart was wide open, but I couldn't feel their presence.
    You held me in Your arms when Mom and Pop had other plans.
    I pointed at the mountains, but You told me, "Stand your ground."
    In You I found my peace; Your throne room is where I'm bound.
    I wanna sing Your praise, 'cause all my sins You've erased.
    I bring to You my heart, 'cause all my sorrows You've set ablaze.
    Your love set the stage for the freedom of my soul.
    *Pre-Chorus + Chorus*
    Prayer:
    To my brothers and sisters,
    They’re throwing themselves into the arms of God.
    They are saying, "I know, Lord, You love me.
    It is safe to trust You. You care for me, Lord.
    And that even now as we pray this prayer, these burdens, and anxieties, and worries, and care would be cast to You."
    So we throw them at Your feet, Father God. We do it in faith, through the power and in the name of Jesus Christ.
    We receive the peace of God, which passes all understanding, in our hearts and our minds.
    Father, we pray these things in Jesus' name.

    Verse 1:
    Who can stand before the Most High?
    Not the hearts consumed by pride.
    Who is like our God, the Most High?
    Whose presence heals the broken heart.
    Cast your burdens on the Most High;
    Watch His grace restore your soul.
    Come, let us sing to the Most High,
    For His mercy knows no bounds.
    Pre-Chorus:
    Halleh-eh, Halleh-eh, Halleh-eh,
    Hallelujah!
    Halleh-eh, Halleh-eh, Halleh-eh,
    Hallelujah!
    Chorus:
    Come down, O Lord,
    We bow before Your holy throne.
    Come down, O Lord,
    Receive our sacrifice of praise, dear Lord.
    Verse 2:
    I lay down my troubles, holy Lord;
    Renew my heart, transform me, O gentle Lord.
    I come to You, my only faithful Lord;
    You pulled me from the dust and cleansed me, O Lord.
    You paid the price to set me free;
    Upon the cross, they made You bleed.
    You bore my sorrows and all my sins;
    Nailed to the cross, You said, "Son, you're free!"
    Outro:
    Lift your hands up high,
    Yeah!
    Raise your hands to the Lord,
    Higher!
    Lift His holy name on high,
    Yeah!
    Raise your voices to the Lord on high!

  • Strum My Heart
    Strum My Heart
    Intro:
    My heart…
    It has wandered through shadows I should never have followed.
    Beating with desires that led me far from You…
    Trusting itself, and falling every time.
    So now I place it in Your hands…
    Verse 1:
    In the morning, when the world feels cold,
    You give me courage and say, "Go on, son.
    My Spirit will guide you through, and My love will keep you strong."
    I'm not afraid to walk this earth anymore;
    The world lays traps for weary souls,
    Yet Your love shields the weak from the dark.
    You are a refuge for the meek and the lost.
    Pre-Chorus:
    I lay my life before You, Lord;
    Uproot the things You did not plant.
    Cleanse me, and strengthen my heart;
    Let me be a shining light in this world.
    I lay my heart before You, Lord;
    Wash away my sins with Your precious blood.
    Lift me, and crown my soul;
    Let me be one of Your lights in this world.
    Chorus:
    You are the Way, the Truth, and the Life.
    To save me, Lord, You laid down Your life;
    And on the third day, You arose,
    Giving me new life that I never had.
    You are the Way, the Truth, and the Life.
    To save the world, You laid down Your life;
    And on the third day, You arose,
    Opening the door that once was closed.
    Verse 2:
    As all creation praises You,
    Let my heart be a string in Your hand.
    Strum it gently, O Lord; let its melody glorify Your throne.
    As all creation bows to You,
    Let my soul rejoice in Your holy name.
    Carry me gently, O Lord; let my life magnify Your name.

  • Walk Me Through the Wild Fields
    Walk Me Through the Wild Fields
    Verse 1:
    Am I growing old, or is time just flying by?
    Lord, search my heart; why does my weary soul still race inside?
    Send me, Lord, before my days become imprisoned in memories that last.
    You said You would walk beside me through the daylight
    And when shadows are cast.
    Pre-Chorus:
    I know You'll never let me walk alone,
    You're the only One whose word makes me hopeful and strong.
    I know You'll never let me fall,
    You reach out Your hand whenever I stumble, O Lord.
    Chorus:
    Here I am in Your holy presence; send me, Lord.
    I know the harvest is ripe and the labourers are few; just send me, Lord.
    I can't do it alone, but with Your Spirit I can do all things, dear Lord.
    Hold my hand and walk me through the wild fields; O send me, Lord.
    Verse 2:
    This may be my life, but I give it back to You, Lord.
    Take my dreams, O King; let me fly on the wings of Your will.
    This may be my own life, but who am I without Your love?
    Take my heart, my King; I want to worship at Your feet.
    Bridge (Spoken Word):
    Sometimes I fear I've spent my years chasing things that fade away,
    Watching seasons pass like rivers, wondering if I've lost my way.
    But You hold every moment, Lord; no day escapes Your hand,
    And what You spoke before my birth will surely come to stand.
    You bend the times and seasons; You're not bound by mortal clocks.
    No fear of mine can hinder what You've built upon the Rock.

  • Does it Matter
    Does it Matter
    Intro:
    You know what time it is;
    We're on a moving train, that's what it is.
    On point 24/7, 365 'round the clock,
    We on the spot, keepin' it hot,
    And we can't be stopped.
    Just like the rising sun,
    We bring the heat with no relief.
    We mind our biz 'cause we got the steez.
    Now at ease.
    Verse 1:
    It's 3 o'clock on the dot,
    Dimitri's message popped,
    He's telling me he's been working on this new joint...
    Told him, "Send it over";
    Homie really stamped his mark,
    Busy running sessions every second 'round the clock.
    I remember, as a lil' young fellow, throwing curse words,
    Mad at the world 'cause of pops.
    But see, things have changed; I met the Lord, homie,
    And my story took a turn,
    Baby, serving the Lord is my newfound love.
    Chorus:
    Does it matter if the world hates me,
    For not walking the path it laid before me?
    Haha
    I ain't that kid no more,
    Jesus stole my heart when He knocked on my door. (2x)
    Verse 2:
    Should I be mad at the world for playing tricks on me?
    I don’t think so, homie, though they taught me a lesson
    That turned into a great blessing.
    I keep my head up, chest high, standing firm,
    Ready for’ em if they ever try to act up.
    I hear they hardly sleep, sneaky, still trying to be me,
    But I’m out here cruising while these phonies try to copy.
    We lost so many on the journey, yeah, of course it hurts.
    You see the good die young; it’s no longer funny.
    We forgive, move on, but see, we don’t forget;
    A snake is a snake—let’s call a spade a spade.
    Now keep your hands high, yeah, wave’ em in the air,
    Join me singing hallelujah like you don’t care.
    It ain’t about the East Side, West, or South Side,
    It’s a battle for your soul, led by the dark side.
    Keep your guard up, homie, stay wise,
    Why roll with the wrong crew, Jesus paid your dues? *Chorus*
    Verse 3:
    Shout out to all ma homies on Looperman,
    Trying to make ends meet and still keeping the art alive.
    Dimestop spit'n with no full stop, homie keeps it real,
    Y'all dropping hits, soon enough the world will feel ya.
    Peperkup, Anthony, and Glenn, yeah, I see you boys;
    Big girl Rita chopping hits in tha studio, sipping fruit margaritas,
    What a strong woman; slide in the booth smooth, baby, singing hallelujah.
    Fanisatt, Kayos, King, and The Monzder Squadd,
    Man, this joint is hot, keep 'em coming, folks.
    I’m stepping out the building, y’all can keep on chilling,
    Don’t forget to hit my number—we gon’ split the billing.
    Bridge:
    So what if they don't understand me?
    So what if they never see?
    (Does it matter if the world hates me, for not walking the path it laid before me?)
    I found a love that's greater
    Than the world's approval of me.
    (Haha
    I ain't that kid no more,
    Jesus stole my heart when He knocked on my door.)
    And when the road gets lonely,
    And when the night gets cold,
    (Does it matter if the world hates me, for not walking the path it laid before me?)
    I hear the Shepherd calling,
    Reminding me I'm home.
    (Haha
    I ain't that kid no more,
    Jesus stole my heart when He knocked on my door.)

  • Hold Me Close
    Hold Me Close
    Verse 1:
    The stars are glowing in the night,
    As I lie beneath them, reflecting on my life.
    As a child, I wondered where You could be,
    But now I see Your love all around me.
    Pre-Chorus:
    You calm my heart whenever You are near,
    Holding me so close, You bring me peace in the middle of the storm.
    Casting out my fear whenever You are near,
    A shelter for my soul when the winds were raging and strong.
    Chorus:
    You are my home; Your love always makes me brave.
    Hold me close, Lord, for Your presence will always be my strength.
    Now I've found my way home; You walk beside me every day.
    Hold me close, Lord, for in Your presence I am strong.
    Verse 2:
    Some saw my smile and thought that I was fine,
    Not knowing I fought the dark every night.
    Some laughed as I walked by and called me names,
    Believing they already knew my end.
    Pre-Chorus:
    I would have been lost if You had not stayed,
    With gentle hands You guided me all the way.
    Through every trial and every raging sea,
    You walked beside me; never let me stray.
    Thank You, my dear Lord. *Chorus*

    Each New Day
    Intro:
    Some days the road gets rough,
    Some nights the battle feels tough.
    But every morning that I open my eyes,
    I see another reason to thank the Lord.
    Verse 1:
    Not every season goes my way,
    Still I will give You thanks for each new day.
    You give me strength each time I pray,
    And fulfil my heart's desires, though they seem delayed.
    Verse 2:
    In You I found true life in abundance,
    I surrender to You, Lord, all I am.
    You break the shackles on my feet whenever I dance,
    I will praise You, Lord, forever.

    You heard my cry when I came face to face with the wolves in the wild,
    And gave me strength to stand against the wicked all through this life. (2x)

    O Father, You breathed love and gave me life,
    Our Father, here I am to give You thanks.
    O Father, You came down to give me life,
    O Father, I will serve You all my life.
    Rap:
    Let Your Spirit dwell in me,
    Don't let this world get the best of me.
    Let Your presence walk with me,

    Your perfect will is my sole desire.
    No other love can ever compare,
    In every trial, Lord, You are there.
    I wake in gratitude, moving with a better attitude,
    Praising You ain't no servitude, yeah, it's my highest aptitude.
    You carried me through every latitude,
    Now I'm living proof of Your beatitude.
    You brought me through the solitude,

  • Cold Streets, Warm Faith
    Cold Streets, Warm Faith
    Intro:
    Yo, Dmitrii… I can’t hear myself in the cans.
    Turn me up a little, man…
    Yeah… let’s do this.
    Verse 1:
    He’s waiting out there by the roadside,
    Trying to pull your soul on a dark ride.
    Don’t let your spirit get tangled in lies,
    Hit your knees, my brother, pray and rise.
    You can’t walk this path—it’s cold,
    Hold on to your faith, stay firm to the bone.
    You can’t fight this alone, you’ve got to stay bold,
    Brother, never sell your soul.
    This ain’t a place for the faint-hearted,
    Where almost everybody’s gone cold-hearted.
    Don’t let their faces fool your eyes,
    Keep your eyes on the prize, they’ll act all nice.
    Chorus:
    You wanna be a soldier, fall in line,
    Come and taste the Lord and see.
    While drowning deep down in the valley,
    He came down and rescued me.
    Those who call upon the name of the Lord,
    Yes, He sets the captives free.
    Those who put their trust in the Lord,
    He will surely set them free. (2x)
    Rap:
    Your free soul is what they target,
    See, these folks out here heartless.
    Got their fingers on the trigger,
    While you’re cruising through the projects.
    They’ll smile while they plot in the background,
    Every step you take, brother, they track down.
    But don’t lean on the world when it turns you around,
    Only God keeps your feet on solid ground.
    When the noise gets loud and the vision fades,
    And the path looks dark through the city’s shade,
    Lift your eyes up, don’t be misled,
    Trust in the Lord, let Him be your stead.
    Hold your head high, let your light shine,
    Trust in the Lord—He’ll polish your light.

    Every promise it whispers slowly tightens what you cannot see.

About Richard Shekari

From the publisher's feed

I am Richard Shekari, a multifaceted artist and humanitarian based in Abuja, Nigeria. Born on 11 April 1981 in Bauchi, my relationship with music began early in life, long before I fully understood how deeply it would shape my identity. What started as a simple involvement in church would eventually become the foundation of my artistic journey, guiding me through seasons of devotion, rebellion, discovery, and ultimately reconciliation between two very different musical worlds.
