It's The Full Moon! And we're going to be Mooning! Valentine's Day is the 5th Anniversary of Grease opening on Broadway! A young Baltimore-born producer named Kenneth Waissman saw a musical at a small theater in Chicago and decided it might have a chance on Broadway. The show was "Grease," and it became one of the biggest success stories in Broadway history, was made into a hit movie and is still going strong. No one connected with the show ever, ever could have imagined or predicted it would have this kind of longevity, It is as popular now as it was in the '70s. Ken had several Broadway successes after "Grease," including "Agnes of God," the Tony Award-winning "Torch Song Trilogy" and the South African "Asinamali". "Grease," which opened on Broadway in 1972, has become the stuff of legend -- launching the careers of stars including John Travolta and Marilu Henner, who were in supporting roles in the first touring production at the Mechanic Theatre and are among a number of "Grease" alums with whom Waissman stays in touch. Waissman was a young producer on Broadway when he produced "Grease," and initially he had trouble being taken seriously. But that would change! Please join us to hear Ken's amazing story! We are joined by Carole Demas, Marilu Henner, and John Pielmier.

  • The Let That Go! Show With Kassira McKee and Richard Skipper 2/13/2022

Although holding onto people, places and things is a human trait, it doesn’t mean it’s good for us. It keeps us stuck and attracts more negativity into our lives. In LET THAT GO! Kassíra McKee leaves no stone unturned. By presenting examples of her own and others’ personal experiences, she clearly identifies the reasons we hold on and provides you with the powerful keys to blessing, releasing and completely forgiving them. She has done a thorough job of correlating the Buddhist concept of the creation of our individual karma - cause and effect - with the practice of blessing, releasing and complete forgiveness. I believe this is a valuable addition to the ongoing dialogue about how to live a meaningful and joyful life. I think anyone would benefit from reading and then doing the work to experience the benefit of Letting That Go!- Michael Lisagor, author, Romancing the Buddha, and 49 year practitioner of SGI Nichiren Buddhism“Raw and intimate. Wise and vulnerable. Let That Go! is a book, a workbook, for life. It is possible that we can choose not to cripple ourselves by spinning emotionally through challenges. If we have the intent to grow as spiritual beings we can reach for this jewel of a book and easily re-frame the situation, whatever that situation may be. Kassíra reminds us that all experiences hold blessings. We don’t need to suffer, and the healing tools are right here. I know. I’ve used them, and I thank you Kassíra for sharing your life experience of wisdom, humor, and compassion with us.”- Terri Zee, Evolutionary Astrologer.

Acting is living and behaving truthfully and fully under imaginary circumstances. But why is "truthfully" and "fully" so hard for us? Why is it so difficult to be in the moment with our art and in our lives? At some point, likely in your youth, you had to split to survive, to deny certain parts of "self," parts needed to get to an intense place of playing the grittiest of supervillains on your favorite TV show, to playing the most important role of your career-your truest self. With Meisner acting technique and a good coach, you can learn how to incorporate all parts of you in every moment...so you can create truthfully and fully.
Matthew Corozine is a multi-hyphenated creative rockstar. Not only an actor, director, producer, and teacher, Matthew is also the founding artistic director and creator of Matthew Corozine Studio (MCS), which just celebrated its 21st anniversary. Peter Allen (born Peter Richard Woolnough; 10 February 1944 – 18 June 1992) was an Australian singer-songwriter, musician and entertainer, known for his flamboyant stage persona, boundless energy, and lavish costumes. His songs were made popular by many recording artists, including Elkie Brooks, Melissa Manchester and Olivia Newton-John, with one, "Arthur's Theme (Best That You Can Do)" by Christopher Cross, winning an Academy Award for Best Original Song in 1981. In addition to recording many albums, he enjoyed a cabaret and concert career, including appearances at the Radio City Music Hall riding a camel. His patriotic song "I Still Call Australia Home", has been used extensively in advertising campaigns, and was added to the National Film and Sound Archive's Sounds of Australia registry in 2013. This barely scratches the surface but my special surprise guests will fill in those blanks. Tune in for a celebration of this master showman! Tune in tonight for Lots of Surprises!
