For those of you who don't want to listen, I am taking a break for the month of May. June will be back to regularly scheduled episodes. I haven't taken a week off in 2 years for the show, so this break is long overdue:)

In this episode Chris from Vanished podcast breaks down the enduring historical mystery of what exactly happened to Fred Noonan & Amelia Earhart. They would disappear on July 2nd 1937, with Amelia's last words over radio transition being panicked ....the last phrase uttered being 'wait'. We have done just that in the over 80 years that have passed by. Chris takes us through who these people were, the facts of the case, as well as theories new and old & then ranks them in order of what he believes to be the most plausible explanation as to what happened to Fred & Amelia.

November 1, 2001. Columbia, Missouri. Kent Heitholt, a 48-year old sports editor for the Columbia Daily Tribune, is severely beaten and strangled to death in their parking lot. Two-and-a-half years later, investigators are led towards a young suspect named Charles Erickson, who has told people he had vivid dreams of himself and his friend, Ryan Ferguson, murdering Kent after leaving a nearby bar that night. After Charles confesses to the crime, both he and Ryan are charged with Kent’s murder and Charles’ testimony helps convict Ryan and send him to prison for 40 years. However, after Charles and another key witness recant their testimony, Ryan’s conviction is vacated and he is released from prison in 2013. Even though many feel that Charles is also innocent of the crime, he continues to remain incarcerated. If Ryan Ferguson and Charles Erickson did not murder Kent Heitholt, then who did?

In this week's episode Elyse from the True Crime Cat Lawyer podcast breaks down the death of Bill Mowbray, who was shot in the head as he slept in 1987 while his wife Susie lay beside him. Strange inconsistencies would crop up early such as Susie's pristine white nightgown, marital strife, a lack of GSR & blood on Bill's right hand and a 1.8 million dollar life insurance policy. Susie would be convicted of his murder in 1988 but the story definitely doesn't end there. In this episode we go through the potential crime, the scene and the inconsistencies and in the next episode we will get into the legal wrangling that took place.

In this episode Lynette, a former prosecutor breaks down complex case of Anthony Sowell who was convicted in 2011 of murdering 11 women. Anthony was born into trauma & in an environment of abuse where at a young age the merging of sex and violence became apparent in the torture he watched inflicted on female family members. Anthony would soon begin to rape one of these family members and his abuses and predatory behavior towards women would escalate from there. This story involves body decaying in the home, a sausage shop that's blamed for the stench and a man who gaslights an entire community whilst targeting those women who are often neglected by society due to sex work & drug addiction.
