Riddle Me That! True Crime

Kara Kopetsky would go missing after leaving school in 2007, never to be seen again. Fingers pointed at her ex-boyfriend who was alleged to have been abusive. Police say he has a rock solid alibi and passed a polygraph....though many questions remained. Kara's remains were found ten years after her disappearance and the same ex-boyfriend had plead guilty to the murder of another woman, Jessica Runions. Was it the ex-boyfriend who killed Kara or the work of a serial killer?

Labor Day weekend 2003, 27 year old mother and exotic dancer, Tamara Greene is alleged to have danced for former Mayor Kilpatrick and members of the EPU-executive protection unit, a division of Detroit police. At the alleged party there was booze, cocaine and it was alleged that Tamara was beaten up by the mayor's wife. Six months later she was murdered in what appeared to be a targeted slaying. Was her killing to cover up this incident? or was the target her boyfriend, a known drug dealer?

A seventeen year old mother and academic prodigy is murdered in a brutal slaying in Colorado. The case goes cold for ten years. A storage locker goes up for auction and sheds some light on the case and points a finger at Deputy Robert Dodd of The Fremont County Sherriff's department.

This episode delves into the disappearance of Upali Wijewardene. His private plane Learjet 35A took off from Kuala Lumpur, en route to Colombo. It would disappear from radar some fifteen minutes later, never to be seen again. Was it mechanical failure? Or something more sinister?
