Romans 8:31-39

As we come to the end of Romans 8 we experience one of the most encouraging passages of Scripture in the Bible. The pulse that beats at the heart of this final few verses is one of love. Love that has been proven and shown to us by God. Find out how this love affects our daily lives to the degree that we become “more than conquerors”.

The biggest reveal since humans were created in the garden of Eden. The reveal of the adopted “sons of God”. Creation has been groaning under the weight of sin and its effects. Finally the day will come when God’s massive plan of foreknowledge, predestination, calling, justification, and glorification will be realized. And what a day of glory that will be!

Romans 7:7-25

We’ve been basking in some lofty truths over the last few weeks. We have died to sin and been raised to live under the reign of grace. We have died to our first marriage to the law bearing fruit for death and been remarried to Jesus and are now bearing the fruit of life. It all sounds amazing. Yet, we still struggle with sin. Romans 6:15-23

We’ve learned a lot in Romans chapters 1-5 about who we are. That we are saved from the reign of sin through the salvation that has been gifted to us by Jesus and is received by faith. While this is great news for our eternity, what does it mean for our lives today? Romans 6 is the beginning of an extensive teaching (the rest of Romans) on how gospel grace works itself out in a Christian’s daily life. Romans 5:1-11

Romans 4:1-25

Paul is telling Jewish Christians that God’s saving work is accessed merely by receiving it by faith. He’s also telling them that this is being offered to both Jews and Gentiles, again, only on the basis of faith. How can this be? After 2000 years of law keeping, how could the children of Abraham now find out that they are saved by grace.
