Come and join the nerds as they take on a book and movie that, in the case of the book, is eerily similar to the times we live in. Max Brooks' World War Z is up for discussion. The meticulously researched novel sits as a good model that follows how viral outbreaks progress as different aspects of life fail to acknowledge the threat, only the virus Brooks wrote about makes people into ravenous zombies that in turn eat the living. It is a brilliant piece of writing that was turned into a decent movie whose only similarity to the book is the name. 

In this edition of Right in the Nerds we discuss Star Trek. The sprawling Sci-Fi universe created by Gene Rodenberry gets discussed from the original series to the culmination of Picard. We pay this series the love it deserves and acknowledge some of the missteps it took along the way....looking at you Star Trek: Nemesis. We also take some time to debate Kirk vs. Picard.
