This week the nerds discuss everyone's favorite wall crawlers. They dive into the spider verse discussing the best additions that came from the ultimate universe. The nerds dive in to Battlestar Galactica this week with a few guests. Everything is on the table from the series that debuted in 1978 all they way up to the re-imagining in 2004 to the spinoff series that came from it. Well acted, well scripted, and well thought out on so many levels (despite the 1980 series). With a reboot on the horizon the nerds dive into what worked, what didn't, and why the cycle may be doomed to repeat itself with some of our trademark tangents along the way. 

The nerds come together this week to discuss everybody's favorite pizza obsessed turtles. Everything from the darker comics to the video games gets discussed as they deep dive into the affect these fearsome fighting teens have had on the culture since their debut as a satirical comic back in the 1980's that has some interesting tie-ins to other characters we all know and love. 

The nerds discuss the cartoons of their childhood and reflect on how they paved the way to the animation we enjoy today. Everything from the craziness, the seemingly shared voice casts, the children's humor, the adult humor that managed to sneak in, and the adult themes that acted as our first introductions into bigger issues are all discussed. The cartoons of the 90's really did help pave the way for children's shows playing with more complicated material than slapstick humor.

On the eve of the long awaited remake the Nerds discuss the original Final Fantasy 7 as well as some of the leaks that came through about the remake, so give this some time if you don't want some spoilers. With a few off topic tangents thrown in, they discuss the long lasting impact of FF7 as well as their own experience with it with a dash of anticipation for what, at the time, is only a few hours away.

Rayshon and Cody discuss Pokemon in all of its glory. The movies, the games, the show, and the merchandise. The nerds get together during this time of social distancing to discuss one of the best parts of Star Wars at the moment, The Mandalorian. On the heels of big casting news and character announcements, including the return of Ahsoka Tano, we take a look at the series so far. We look into what worked as well as a few plot holes, and culminate with what we do best....wild speculation.

We discuss the X-Men from their inception through the current story arcs with a few deviations. We try to think about the ways the film series worked and didn't. Why the animated 90's series was a masterpiece. The many retcons and adjustments to the comics over the years, and overall show love to the series that for many of us was our first foray into the superhero world or comic book world.

The Nerds discuss the Jurassic Park film series from Jurassic Park to Fallen Kingdom and add a new voice to the mix. Come listen the lively conversation about the points in which the series has jumped the shark, and others where it has shown brilliance as we await Jurassic World: Dominion.

Cody and Eli take a look at the ideas and execution behind one of Paul Andersen's early films, the cult classic Event Horizon. With a series being developed they decide to look into what worked and what did not. Everything from studio meddling, and rushed production to the Hellraiser, and Warhammer 40K influences are part of the discussion. Hopefully there is more to come when the series gets developed further.
