What do Rima, low self-esteem and nervous laughing have in common?
You got that right: SHAME.
This episode is all about SHAME. It's dedicated to all of us who have fallen in the battle of shame over the years, whether that's shame for our looks, shame for our sexuality, shame for our background, shame for our dreams, shame for our actions...
And because I wanted it to be a perfect celebration of shame, this SHAME-less party was honoured by Katie Gilbertson. Katie is the creator of the Shame Rebel Podcast, she's a licensed mental health professional and a women's advocate.
Katie's work focuses on boundaries, shame, self-esteem, relationships and trauma. Her private practice is a safe space for all genders, sexual orientations, and ethnicities, where she supports people to break out of their own shame, suffering and limitations.
In this episode, we explored the different shades of shame, what it looks like, how it's internalized, how we project it and how it manifests in our lives.
In both our individual and professional work, shame has been a key aspect we worked with.
We hope this discussion is helpful to you and it supports you in building a more authentic relationship with yourself and those around you.
