In your faith, have you ever felt tested by the Lord? Have you felt like you’re doing everything right, only for trials and tribulations to come your way? The Holy Spirit is upon you. The same Spirit who led and empowered Jesus to fulfill His ministry is with you today. Jesus didn't do anything outside of the empowering of the Holy Spirit. He didn't rely on being God. He relied on the Spirit. And by doing that, He showed you and me how to live. In today's message, Pastor Dan is going to show you that your life can be one that is filled with power and loves through the work of the Holy Spirit. All you have to do is the same thing that Jesus did—rely on and listen to the Spirit.

When it comes time for baptism at your church, who would you be shocked to see getting baptized? In today's message, Pastor Dan is going to show you that even Roman soldiers who heard John's message were going into the water to be baptized by him. It was so unlikely for them to be doing that—unheard of, even. Why would a great military power be moved by a Jewish prophet? God was doing mighty work through John the Baptist. And He's still moving today! Ask Him to work through you today!

In today's message, Pastor Dan is going to share from the end of the Old Testament, when God promised a coming Messiah and told of the man who would come before Him preparing the way. What followed was 400 years of silence from the heavens. Can you imagine when the people began talking about John the Baptist and his message? The stir must have been caused among the ones who were faithfully waiting. How eagerly are you waiting for Jesus to return today? Are you watching for the signs of his coming?

For years I did what I knew I was supposed to do. I followed the rules of Christianity without ever really knowing the personal, relational Savior. Once I heard the voice of the Spirit, however, I took off running after Him and I have never looked back. What kind of relationship do you have with God today? Is it a life of rules and regulations? Or is it a living, vibrant relationship where you listen and respond to the Spirit like Joseph did in today's verses? Today Pastor Dan is going to show you life in the Spirit!

In today's message, Pastor Dan is going to bring you into a very familiar story—The Christmas Story! He's going to talk about the Magi traveling from far away to come to see Jesus. These foreigners were watching and waiting for the Messiah to come, unlike the religious leaders of the time. If you put yourself into that story, where would you fit? Do you faithfully attend church out of duty and religion? Or do you eagerly watch and wait for Jesus to come again, because you have fallen in love with Him?

Life is filled with decisions every single day. Some of them are simpler, like what to wear or what to make for dinner. But some are harder. Do I take that new job? Do I propose to my girlfriend? In today's message, Pastor Dan is going to remind you that in every decision you face, you have access to the God of the universe. The one who made you and has a plan for you has made himself available to you every moment of every day. So, what difficult decisions are you facing? Bring them to the Lord right now.

Think back to the day before your wedding. Can you remember the frantic last-minute preparations? Maybe even the panic as you try to make sure everything is perfect? Think, too, about the joy and anticipation you felt as you waited to make your vows. I love picturing Jesus preparing a place for His bride—the church. He's getting everything ready and He is filled with anticipation of becoming one with His bride. In today's message, Pastor Dan is going to show us the heart of Jesus through the traditional Jewish wedding.

Galatians 3:28 says, “There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither slave nor free, there is no male and female, for you are all one in Christ Jesus.” Jesus turned all of society on its head. He valued the least of these. He elevated women and foreigners. He showed the world that it doesn't matter who you are, He loves you. Today, Pastor Dan is going to show us the influence of Jesus on Matthew's writings right from the first chapter, where Matthew surprisingly includes women in a genealogy.

Today, Pastor Don is going to begin a new series in the book of Matthew. This book was written to show the Jews that Jesus is indeed the Messiah they have been waiting for. There's a heavy emphasis on the messianic prophecies of the Old Testament and how Jesus fulfills every one of them. In Matthew chapter 1, you are going to see that even His birth and His family line are fulfillments of the Old Testament prophecies.
