Well whaddaya know? Like finding that favorite album tucked away in a nook, we discovered we still have more amazing BoC recordings to share! This is a driving, get you going, butt off the chair mix from our very own WorkR. Let's goooooo!

Here's what WorkR had to say about the mix: "I was beyond excited to play Breakfast of Champions again in person after our long lockdown break of virtual events. I played early in the day, basking in the sunlight and the vibe of the crowd. What a great way to start the new year."

Inspired to connect by the post-lockdown parties and a decidedly un-chill 2020 and 2021 Deckard is back with My Definition of Chill - After Party. After an all day Breakfast of Champions a group of us made the trek to a friend's house for a more intimate gathering. Walking through the doors, seeing friends still dressed up and glamorous, if not a little worse for wear, drinks being poured, glitter everywhere... not ready to a put a stop to it yet. Queue up the mix and hit play.

This week, we welcome a long-time staple of the Bay Area music scene, friend of the Cowboys (and just about everyone!) and founder of Ambient Mafia, @redstickman. Tho often known for the Ambient Mafia's downtempo chill beats, this set is anything but! Strap on your seat belts and turn off your seat warmers cuz this is coming in hot.

About redstickman:

Redstickman founded the infamous Ambient Mafia in November of 1999, and they’ve taken over chill rooms in the San Francisco Bay Area by storm with their chunky and funky downtempo beats.

Known for his unconventionality as well as excellence in DJ ability, he can be found behind the decks in random clubs from San Francisco to Tokyo, Bangkok to Luang Prabang, and Berlin to Lisbon.

In addition to downtempo, he DJs techno and ghettotech and makes really weird art pieces.

Can it be? We're on the very last set from our epic new year's day party. We might find a few hiding in a shelf here and there but for now, this is it! We're looking forward to the artists we're about to feature and a new series coming up featuring female DJs in the area.

RIGHT NOW though, check out this slamming non-stop pedal-to-the-metal breaks and bass/tech house mix from our friend Nugz (@b-nugetz) on the Dusty Rhino stage! 🔥🦏

It was honored to play Unison community's 9th streaming fundraiser, this time benefiting the Lawyers’ Committee for Civil Rights Under Law.

File this one under deeper, darker, and moodier breaks.
