Finally, Luke’s Lounge and Riptide Media, in collaboration with Cameron Staunton Films, bring you what you’ve all been secretly asking for…. Jack Baker and his pleasantly outspoken opinion.
Being a local boog lord from the Southern reaches of Sydney who’s packed more cones than your average Carigbah houso on a quiet Friday night in, this conversation will really have you keeled over on all fours scrambling for the bowl as Jack doesn’t hold back with his gut wrenching story of young and old.
Held in the shaping bay of his newly appointed board sponsor, Hand Picked Boards, Jack and Luke deep dive into his new custom dimensions, what it’s like enduring a magnitude 6 earthquake in Java and how it feklt like snagging the best wave to break out the Island in 2023.
There’s plenty to unpack in this video episode so pack yourself a hot one, pour a coldie and just marvel in the sheer honesty and Australian colloquialism that surrounds Jack Baker.
Much love and peace ☮️

With the south coast of NSW providing a wondrous canvas for today’s guest to work within it’s not surprising to see the quality of their work shine through.
Jay Maquire has been exploring every nook n cranny of this enticing natural phenomenon and documenting heavily as he goes.
Catching the attention of the booging/surfing industry through out his recent creative captures at all the prime sessions of late, it was only fitting to chew the fat and hear how he’s fared during those experiences.
One of his most recent experiences involved a serious medical emergency at an undisclosed location on the Deep South of the coast line, chilling experience to say the least.
Hope you get something out of this chat, I really did 🙏💣☮️
With energy and passion to burn we welcome Robin Legros onto the lounge to talk about his stunningly quick rise to world tour standard bodyboarding and beyond.
Calling the Reunion Islands home, but currently based in Gran Canaria, Robin is currently putting all his time and energy into bodyboarding and it’s well and truly paying dividends.
We touch on topics such as the shark infested waters of his home town breaks, what progression looks like for Robin in the future and how still doesn’t have a main sponsor at the date of this recording, wild!
Hope you enjoy yarn, peace ☮️
Episode 60 hits you like a hot Indian curry at 3 in the morning, violently informative, packed with surprises and as always hard to wipe from your mind as Luke’s Lounge really starts to simmer down with some main courses on offer in the boogieverse we all find ourselves crammed into.
Toby Player is one of the greatest to do it, whilst leaving no fruit unpicked from the tree of life, how Player has played out his journey so far is incredible and his career is one to be celebrated.
From honing mondo secretive slabs down on the bottom of Aus, to becoming one of the biggest, if not the biggest, retail giants in the world of bodyboarding to also still find time to chase pipes all calendar year long, Toby is a guest on the lounge that delivered everything you wanted, plus more!
Hope you enjoy the convo and leave us a question if you want anything asked in the coming episodes.
Peace ☮️
With one of the most razor sharp reverses in the game to date, we welcome the Goldcoast core lord Joe Clarke to the poddy.
In episode 59 Joe takes Luke down a myriad of boog rabbit holes, touching on his European holiday and his recent engagement to the miso soup, we talk about Joe’s biggest boog influences and how he swapped the pilgrimage from Hawaii to Samoa and never looked backed.
This one was for the ages, real natural conversation vibes as two friends sit down and talk about everything booging.
Peace ☮️
Keeping the U.S flavour marinating from episode 57, we move onto another succulent blonde haired legend in episode 58, who keeps raising the bar when it comes to free booging world of todays modern era.
Craig Whetter is seriously putting in time on the foam and the dividends couldn’t be more fucking fruitful. With Breaking Even, a 42 minute film of pure boog footage tightly edited with a banging sound track, debuting late last year and for Breaking Even 2 to be coming out roughly a year on is a serious sign of the Cali Crew and Craig’s obsession with the boog all round.
Throughout the chat we touch on his time over in Gran Canaria for the Fronton Pro, how Craig has learned to successfully navigate the Cali wedge lineup and what the future may have in-store for the West Coast Core Lord.
Enjoy.
America, fuck yeah 🇺🇸
Todays guest is the 2023 Bodyboarding World Champ and Hawaiis own wonder kid, Tanner McDaniel.
This podcast breaks down Tanners humble beginnings in one of the greatest island chains to ever be presented to the surfing world, Hawaii, and how the influences and waves paved a path to make this young blonde haired man a bodyboarding world champion.
We break down each world tour comp in the calendar year of 2023 and how Tanner dealt with the undeniable pressure as each final went past with the rub of the green evading him on each occasion.
We also touch on his ambitions towards the future of his career, how moving to Cali has shaped his booging for the better and what it’s been like mentally preparing such a young soul for a journey beyond his years.
Just remember, this kid surfed in a Pipe Comp at 14….. you gotta hear it to believe it.
Peace boogieverse ✌️
Episode 56 of Luke’s Lounge revisits a previous guest who has his tender hooks well and truly attached to the carcass we all truly know as BOOGING.
Adrian Emerton is a Sydney based director, filmmaker and small business owner who has been at the forefront of booging for at least the last 10 years plus.
His most recent published work can be found through the movie, The Chase, and in this most recent chat, we dive into the journey that’s taken place through his most current boog project, Common Thread.
This storyline takes the viewer on a cutting-edge inside scoop, no pun intended, on what it takes to be a professional bodyboarder and the many avenues athletes seek for financial and sponsorship backing as they navigate the world of both free and competitive booging.
Enjoy the chat peeps 🔥
In this years final edition of Comp Talk Coops n Luke wrap up the final contest of the 2023 IBC World Tour, the Fronton Pro, which is held in the highest regard amongst the Boog community as the comp of the year!
This years edition didn’t disappoint when it came to controversy’s as before the comp had even kicked off three competitors were disqualified without even pulling on a rashie. We had sparks and emotions flying everywhere as Tanner McDaniel had to watch on as his only threat to his maiden World Title, Pierre Louis Costes, went deep into the comp and almost snatched it from the Americans grasp.
Throw in some seriously impressive Fronton surfing from up and comer Robin Legros, and you really do have an exciting story line to sink your teeth into listeners. Sit back and enjoy Coops n Luke wrap up this years tour, it’s been one hell of a ride 🤙
