As a business owner, you must know where your assets are. And I'm not talking about the ones that appear on your balance - I'm talking about your logins and access to things like ASIC accounts, Domain Name Registrars, Hosting and the like.
A favourite topic of mine - Free isn't always (or is rarely) Free. And here's why....
We all experience overwhelm The question is, how do you handle it or cope with it? I share some thoughts but I'd love to know yours.
One technique I learned as a young sales person was to break a sale into a series of smaller sales. The other technique I learned was that once I made the "smaller sale" , I needed to stop selling it and not go back tp it.
You've won the job - CONGRATULATIONS! Here's where you get to really show what you're made of... but do you? Do you seek to delight your customer or do you do the bare minimum?
You've sent your proposal or quote and it's time to hurry and wait! This is where you need to determine that fine balance between asking for updates and not becoming a pest!
Thom Dennis, from Serenity in Leadership and Charly Leetham talk about leadership, what's good and not so good today, what's creating good things and what's leading us down a dead-end path.
They explore what are the skills needed in today's societal and commercial pressure and Thom talks about the concepts of the masculine and feminine and how a dysfunctional masculine is driving a great deal in organizations.

When someone sends you a request for work, take the time to truly understand the issues and what they're asking for. Be sure to clarify the requirement with the client and determine what the true pain points are.
Before giving people the 'answer' to their problem, it's best to find out what the problem is. Sure, you'll get some sales, but if you want longevity with your client, take the time to find out what they really need.
