Rise Up Music Project

Each and every single solitary human being

Has a personal perception of the world that we’ve been reading:

Seven billion varied takes on a single set of laws,

Each making sense in its own way.

We live in the first time every that the population of every nation combined

Outnumber the years that even the Earth has been alive.

Search on. Search on. Search on and teach what you learn.

Whether or not you know what you’ve gotten

From the footage your senses brought back to your mind,

You’ve had a taste of Reality and there’s more out there to find.

Go find it.

Matt Halvorson is a musician, writer, activist and father living in Seattle. This week's song is a circle about sharing all that we are with the people we love.

Roberto Ascalon is a poet and educator living in Seattle and hailing from New York. He shares his original poem, “These Are the Things I Learned About You in the Twelve and a Half Minutes Between Delridge and Andover,” and as you listen, you find you’re moved to tears.
