Rise with Mital episodes

  • Episode 0: the season of loud...

    Well… look who’s back. 👀

If you’ve been here since my Raise to Rise days, you know I’ve never been afraid to talk about the messy, the magical, and the downright human parts of life. And if you’re new here — hi, I’m Mital: cancer survivor, parent coach, professional plot-twist navigator, and the friend who will make you laugh, cry, and rethink your life before your coffee’s even lukewarm.

This podcast is Rise with Mital — where we talk love, life, and leadership without loosing yourself. You’ll get unfiltered stories, practical mindset shifts, and the reminder you didn’t know you needed: you’re not broken… you’re just in the middle of your next rise.

    In this trailer, I’m spilling:

    • Why I’m back behind the mic (hint: it involves more plot twists than Netflix).

    • Who this podcast is for (spoiler: probably you).

    • What you can expect this season (think: raw conversations, tools you can actually use, and zero sugar-coating).

Hit follow, grab your tea (or coffee warmed up 45th time — I don’t judge), and get ready… because this season, we rise. Loud.

      • Overcoming People Pleasing with Ilaria Petrucci

Self-discovery, improving oneself, and being the best version of yourself are intriguing to me. This is because, as a parent and role model, I want my children to model the behaviors that I want to instill in them. I want to plant the seeds for my kids, and in order for me to do that, it's very important for me to invest in my self-improvement education.

Part of getting this wisdom is having conversations with experts who can help me in my personal transformation.

Today we're bringing you Ilaria Petrucci, a qualified Inner Child and Trauma-informed Coach, and  NLP Master Coach. She specializes in helping women overcome emotional eating and achieve their fitness goals without falling back into their old habits.

Having struggled with emotional eating for years herself, she perfectly understands the frustration and the root causes of these cycles. She is extremely passionate about helping women break free from this cycle, build deep confidence, achieve their fitness goals, and finally feel good in their skin.

      • Intuitive Eating at Your Dinner Table with Jennifer D’Amato

How many of you are concerned about your eating habits?

As the first month of the year is settling down, we've all seen a number of goals floating around the internet world. One of those goals is our eating habits. We look to find our ideal weight without taking into account that weight management also includes our issues with body shame and how we make peace with our food to redefine our health.

Today we are having a conversation with Jennifer D’Amato, who is an Intuitive Eating Counselor, Coach, and Host of The Intuitive Eating Mama Podcast. She specializes in helping women reconnect with their bodies while making peace with food. She helps women redefine their whole physical health, especially in toxic diet culture. Jennifer not only takes us away from that dark culture but also helps women embrace their bodies, embrace their food, and look at what's on their plate with love instead of feeling guilty about it.

In addition to her work as an Intuitive Eating Counselor and Coach, she is married to her husband of over 20 years and mom to four brilliant intuitive-eating daughters! When she has downtime you can find her laughing at a sitcom episode she has already seen 5 times, hanging with her girls, or cooking up something yummy in the kitchen.

      • A Bit of Reflection for the New Year

What would you tell yourself about 2022? How honest can you be about the lessons you learned throughout this year?

Personally, I should be planning and talking about the upcoming new year but instead, I'm doing a bit of reflection. I was just thinking if I could sit down for a cup of tea with the past year and talk to myself about it, what would I tell? I would really love to tell her that there is nothing worth sacrificing your mind, body, and soul.

And at the same time, I would share with her all my learnings. For today’s episode, I will do just that. This episode is a recap of my 2022 and I will be sharing the top 10 lessons of this year. But these are not just simple learnings. These are lessons that I'm going to cherish and things that I am taking with me in 2023. And I also encourage you to take it with you for this new year.

      • Telling Stories With Terri Huggins Hart

The way we model our lives as parents has a tremendous impact on our kids. When we decide to know better for ourselves and our children, we start doing better.

I am so excited to bring you my guest for this week, Terri Huggins Hart. She is an award-winning journalist who lives in a constant state of an identity crisis. She's always deciding if she aligns more with her maiden name, which is Huggins, and her married name, which is Huggins Hart. At any given moment she is extremely hilarious and at the same time, a very wise person.

She's actually excelled in following her calling of telling the stories that need to be told and evoking emotions that align with clear takeaways through her stories. She is a beautiful mom and a beautiful writer, who sheds light on the darkness of our lives and motivates us to go towards a better one.

Please listen in to our candid conversation to learn how Terri rewires the way we think about parenting and advocates for parents.

      • Trust and Inspiration in Parenting

As parents, we are not going to be with our kids 24/7 for the rest of their lives. Instead of commanding and controlling their lives all the time, we should rather equip our kids with the tools they need to empower themselves to make the choices that are best for them.

In today’s episode, I will be talking about how I was impacted by the book“Trust and Inspire: How Truly Great Leaders Unleash Greatness in Others” by Stephen M. R. Covey. I highly recommend it since you are going to love the insights. It is going to inspire you to lead. You will learn how to become a trustworthy and inspired leader so your kids can then rely on you and learn from you to do the same.

To learn more about control and command leadership, please read:  “Trust and Inspire: How Truly Great Leaders Unleash Greatness in Others” by Stephen M. R. Covey

I am inviting all parents to my parenting community called The Parenting Lab. Here you will be empowered to create your own solution. You will have a coach side by side to guide you and to get the resources out of you.
