Your Heavenly Father is looking for risk-takers, not excuse-makers. Success in life breeds distractions. Once distractions start, spiritual growth stops, and excuse-making starts. What is a risktaker? “I heard the voice of the Lord saying, whom shall I send and who will go for us? Then I said, here am I, send me” (Is 6:8). A risktaker is someone willing to go out first, to ‘take point.’ Is dedicated and not afraid, “Be strong and of good courage, do not be afraid nor be dismayed, for the Lord God is with you wherever you go” (Josh 1:9). A risktaker knows what it takes to live for the Lord, is willing to risk everything for the mission, and doesn’t put a premium on security. “In You, O Lord, I have put my trust” (Ps 31:1).
