The guys finally got together after a 3 full weeks off and they came out hot! The Mets have become a totally different team since the last show and the guys discuss what has changed. But, everything seemed good with the Mets until they lost to one of the worst teams in the league which led to an epic rant! Then the guys moved onto some football talk, and debated whether or not there is a QB controversy with the Giants and when can we expect Daniel Jones to step on the field in the regular season. It is also fantasy football season and the guys give their picks for rookies who will make the biggest impact and possibly make or break your season. And to close things, the crew ranked the top 10 Wide Receivers in the league.
All four returned for a preview of the MLB trade deadline before they all go on their summer vacation! They debate whether or not Syndergaard should be traded, which teams offers the best package, and why the Mets ownership will not deal him to the Yanks. What other big surprising names could the Mets trade and what should the Yanks do about their starting pitching? Plus, training camp in the NFL finally began so the guys spoke about the Odell situation and how much of an impact Odell has in terms of wins and losses. Oh, and the Jets are also in this town so we couldn't forget about them!
Lou, Phil, Nick, and Sagg return and as promised opened up talking about the Mets and what they should do at the trade deadline. Then they debated whether or not the Mets had a better chance of making the playoffs or the Yankees missing the playoffs. Plus, Lou and Phil collide with Nick and Sagg about a topic you wouldn't expect. Then to finish it off, Lou explains why paying running backs is a big mistake!
A surprise show as Lou flies solo and breaks down the crazy Russell Westbrook trade that sent him to the Houston Rockets. Plus he explains why the Mets should blow the whole thing up and trade Noah Syndergaard.
We open up talking about the trend that pitchers at all levels are on, and how kids at such a young age are throwing away their arms and why throwing with the highest velocity might not lead to the success that everyone thinks it will lead to. Then the guys preview the Home Run Derby and the MLB All Star Game, plus they give their picks for both events. Then to cap it off, we debate how much worse the Yankees would be if Mickey Callaway was the manager, and why Mickey shouldn't have even been a candidate for the Mets job.
On a night where there were a ton of signings and trades, the whole crew joined by Herbie returned to action to break it all down! The Nets won the day signing two of the top dogs and adding depth while also trading their star point guard to the Warriors as they never seem to get worse. While all of that was happening, Knicks fans were outraged, and Phil and Herbie give their thoughts as fans of the team and what they think of James Dolan, plus when should we expect the team to start contending. Then we talk about all the other moves teams around the league made. And of course what would this show be without making fun of the Mets!
Sagg was unable to join us for this episode so Pascal filled in. But before we got to the Mets who are just a complete joke right now, we thought of giving inspirational speeches with each of us having a different scene, and they were pretty interesting to hear that's for sure! After a couple of the speeches and the Mets, we talk about the big trade by the Devils to get P.K. Subban and also the Rangers trading for Jacob Trouba, so we debate whether their rivalry is back on. Then to finish that off, Lou and Phil give their speeches.
