For a special episode to recap the NBA draft, we had a very special guest join us to break it all down. The guys gave their draft night surprises, along with which player in the top 3 will make the most immediate impact for their team this season. Plus the guys talk about some issues the NBA needs to fix for the future of the draft and we also talk NBA free agency with Herbie, and whether or not the Knicks should still go all out for KD this summer.
Sagg started by hosting the beginning of the show for a change as we opened up talking about Syndergaard's injury and also going through all the "Met Killers". Then we move on to talk about the big Anthony Davis trade and how that will impact the rest of the league. Phil and Sagg then breakdown the upcoming NBA Draft before Lou and Nick breakdown the upcoming NHL Draft.
The four fellers go at it after a complicated beginning to the show. But after a crazy game 5 of the NBA finals, the guys recap everything that happened from start to finish, the KD injury and how the fans treated him, and how the injuries to the Warriors will affect the team for the rest of the series. Then Lou and Sagg predict what will end up happening in the Anthony Davis saga, plus we have the Subway Series, and the joke of the night goes to the baseball team that screwed their fans over!
The guys gather late Sunday night after Game 2 of the NBA Finals to recap what has gone on in the series so far and how they think things will transpire for the rest of the series. They then take out their anger on the putrid New York Mets who can't seem to give their fans any real hope. Plus, teams are now finally willing to sign two of the best free agents available so we give our best fits. Also, because Nick has school, he needed to leave early so a very good friend of ours joins the fun near the end!
The crew returns after Memorial Day weekend to discuss the MVP candidates in baseball as we are a third of the way into the season already. They also debate who the favorites are for Rookie of the Year, plus RJ Hampton deciding not to go to college and how that will affect high school basketball players in the future, as well as their NBA Finals predictions.
Lou, Phil, Nick, and Sagg open the show talking about the Mets and just how bad they are, they discuss what has gone wrong, and whether Mickey Callaway will be gone soon. They give their candidates for who can possibly replace him. They also touch on the Jets GM situation and a little bit of the NBA playoffs.
Seconds after the NBA Draft Lottery, only Lou, Nick, and Sagg were able to give their reactions because Phil was so mad about the results. But the show opens up with Lou absolutely ripping the new lottery system and the New Orleans Pelicans, then Sagg and Nick jump in as they break down all that happened in Chicago, and now what the draft will look like come June.
The guys open up talking about the thrilling NBA playoff games on Sunday. They debate whether or not Kawhi Leonard will stay and if the Warriors are better without KD. They also touch up on the Lakers situation before Lou gets cornered by the guys when arguing about the Mets, plus Nick ranks the "Idiot Leaderboards".
The guys come back firing with their second podcast as they talk about and open up with the struggling Mets, the team they thought did the best in the NFL Draft from the AFC East and NFC East, the NBA Playoffs, and then Phil and Nick get into a must listen feud involving the Islanders losing their playoff series.
