Continuing the journey in Ephesians, we take a look at the calling on God's people to be imitators of God, as beloved children. And walk in love, as Christ loved us and gave himself up for us, a fragrant offering and sacrifice to God.

Continuing in the Letter of Paul to the Ephesians, God calls on us as His redeemed, new creation sons and daughters to live counter to the culture around us in tangible and visible ways, challenging the Church to truly be an alternative society in the midst of the world.

Living the new life in Jesus Christ necessarily requires a change from the old self to the new self, the new creation identity in Christ. The Apostle Paul uses this illustration of putting off and putting on to communicate the real and tangible change that happens by grace alone, through faith alone, in Christ alone.

In this passage, we're given a glimpse of the Spiritual Unity of the Church, the Spiritual Diversity of the Church, and how those two things work together for the Spiritual Maturity of the Church, as we all grow in Christ, together.

In this passage, we are given a picture of the Posture, the Petition, and the resulting Praise of missional prayer, and what it means for us in the Church today.

In this message, we look at The Mystery, The Ministry, and The Motivation of the life of a Christian in the context of the new creation community in Christ.

Jesus came and broke down the dividing wall of hostility between us and God, and between us and ourselves.  And  now He has given us all access to God, and He has given us all a new identity, and He has given us all a new mission.

"But now in Christ Jesus you who once were far off have been brought near by the blood of Christ."

This is what God has done for us in Jesus. He has brought us near. He didn't just show us the way. He came and brought us home. So, we can trust Him with today.

In this well-known passage from Ephesians 2, we see how the sin situation in our lives is much worse than we think, how the problem of sin is not so much one that is out there, but one that is in here. And this makes the grace of God in Christ all the more astounding.
