The recurring theme or motif through each of the first three movements in Ephesians 1 is the lavish grace and mercy of God in redemption. And the response to that blood-bought redemption is the praise of His glory.

One of the things that's made really clear in the early verses of the Letter of Paul to the Ephesians is that Christ's glory is God's priority. It's that the Father's plan from before the foundation of the world was "to unite all things in him, things in heaven and things on earth."
