Shafat Qazi: The Kashmiri engineer who features among top 50 CEOs in USA

Shafat founded BQE in 1995 to simplify the lives of millions of service professionals. An engineer by trade, he was acutely aware of the pain professional service firms endure when it comes to billing, accounting, time tracking, and project management. To address these pain points, he created the original BillQuick software in his garage. Two decades later, Shafat oversees a global enterprise but has never forgotten his roots; BQE remains at the vanguard of customer-driven innovation. Comparably recently honored Shafat as a "Top 50 CEO" in 2018 and gave BQE Software a "Best Places to Work - Diversity" award. Shafat holds a master's in structural engineering from the University of New York and a bachelor's degree from the National Institute of Technology (NIT). When he's not working on a new invention, he enjoys listening to music and traveling. So far, he's visited 51 countries and plans to visit at least 50 more.
