  • AI vs Eye Disease
Recent years saw developments in technology greatly improve the lives of blind and partially sighted people, but could we take these developments even further and use artificial intelligence to diagnose eye disease?

We spoke with ophthalmologist Dr Pearse Keane, who started a collaboration between Moorfields Eye Hospital and Google’s DeepMind in hope that patients with fast-progressing sight loss could be diagnosed quicker.

Dr Keane spoke with RNIB Connect Radio’s Paulina Kuchorew.
