Each group continues its travels, apart but together and all aiming for the same destination: Tear.

Oh, Liandrin Sedai, what is there to say about her? Between the books and the show, plenty! While we agree book Liandrin has few redeemable qualities, but we were truly surprised to find her downright likeable when being portrayed by the immensely talented Kate Fleetwood.

We thought this would be a fun one because of Mat and his scene with the Trakand boys, not to mention our gals making their first trip to tel’aran’rhiod, but what we hadn’t prepared for was Amber’s impromptu quote creation and more scene developments for Wheel of Time the musical featuring some Be Kind Rewind stylings. Hey everybody, it’s Lanf…we mean Selene!  Chatting up Mat while he’s sick, channeling at him when he’s skeptical. Just an all around quality gal.  Egwene is pulled into Verin’s chambers (which we would gladly live in!) and leaves with trouble and hope in her hands.  She’s whisked away to be taken to the bowels of the Tower; it is time for her to face her fears in the test to become Accepted.  It’s so hard to stop after we have wrapped our four chapters, but a halt must happen here.  Next week we have a romp through the Waste and talk about those wacky Aiel.

Surprise, surprise, Nyneave decides to defy the Amyrlin by recruiting her own help for the hunt of the Black Ajah. Elaida shows up and is a predictable killjoy. Mat is finally healed, separated from the Shadar Logoth dagger, and already plotting his escape. We say it nearly every week, these chapters are so good! And we keep going with chapters 20-23 next week.

The return of our “runaways” to the White Tower is not exactly what was expected.  Verin is grilled by the Amyrlin Seat, Egwene is beginning to feel like her tiny novice room is really a cell to hold her indefinitely, and a dangerous quest is set before the two young women from Emond’s Field.  Next week we cover chapters 16-19 and finally get a Mat POV!
