We've all thought we knew best only to be disappointed.  Whether that'd be with relationships, investments, time & energy, or finding our way around the city.  We can often think we know best when it comes to the direction our lives should go, but we don't.  Good news!  God does.

Easter reminds us that God is ready to give us a breakthrough.  

Palm Sunday Service of the Roanoke Valley Church  Jesus comes in triumphal procession to the joy of the crowd.  Do they know what kind of King he is, and what kingdom he brings?  They had their ideal king and kingdom in mind, and so do we.    Jesus comes in a way we did not expect, established a kingdom we did not want, but the one we need.  The choice the King gives us is simple:  King Me or Kill Me.

Jesus invites you to follow Him.   A wholehearted pursuit of imitation is the call.     In an age of originality and authenticity being the ultimate goal, let us recognize true originality was being made in the image of God.   Disciples of Jesus are meant to be intentional in our quest to be more and more like Jesus.

How God gets to our hearts.

Ever hit a wall?  Have you ever felt stuck or even opposed? The story of Joseph and the words describing him as a fruitful vine that scales the wall gives us hope that nothing can stop us.  This Joseph figure is not meant to spur us on to greater grit and self-reliance alone, but to see Jesus as that FOR us.  That Jesus gives us great faith that all things are possible!

Jesus’ way gives us rest for our souls. Join us on our path to do things God way.
