This lecture discusses key ideas from the 20th Century American philosopher Robert Audi's article, "The Ethical Significance of Cost Benefit Analysis".
It focuses specifically on several problems with adopting a utilitarian point of view in ethics, using cost-benefit analysis. Several of these problems, Audi argues, would be an issue for other ethical theories or approaches.
