John 2:1-12  

The first sign of Jesus was to turn water into wine. Moses first sign was to turn water to blood. What is the significance of this extraordinary miracle?

Acts 9:1-20

 Saul was zealous for Judaism and  hated Christ and the Way. He persecuted Christians and desired to utterly destroy the Church. And yet the truly breathtaking mercy and grace of God was showered upon him that he became perhaps the greatest man after jesus Himself that the Church has ever known. He was the chief of sinners and yet was a great example of Gods gracious gift and work of salvation for all who were to come after him.

2 Timothy 2:1-13  

In this text Paul encourages Timothy to  be strong in the grace that is in Christ and goes on to say that he suffers trouble as an evildoer because of the Gospel he preaches. Today in this wicked and perverse generation where the LGBTQ+ agenda is being pushed down our children's throats and being celebrated as a great thing in their schools, the faith Church who Steadfastly take a stand and preach truth will be labelled as bigots and evildoers! Believers are you ready for this? Will you stand?

Joshua 24:15

Joshua puts the question to the people “Choose this day whom you will serve” but as as for Joshua and his household they would serve the Lord.  The question is posed to us today, what does it mean to serve the Lord and will we choose to serve the Lord in our day?

John 1:35-42

What a privilege it is when others hear us speak of Christ and they follow Him. John the Baptist cries 'Behold the Lamb of God.' They hear him and follow Christ! How is it that the chief priests, scribes and Pharisees missed it? How is it that the first generation of the Israelites saw undeniable signs and wonders and yet died in unbelief? What is the reason why some who hear don't hear and yet others Hear, follow and begin to witness. In these verses we see the disciples do just that. And what about us? Are we hearing?  Do we know what it means to follow? and in our generation do we believe God can use us as witnesses to turn this world upside down?

Sir, we wish to see Jesus  - The woman at the Well

This is what the people of Sychar would have said to the Samaritan woman who encountered Jesus at the well. Something had happened to her, and they wanted to find out for themselves. Because once you've seen Jesus and you've been saved, 1. Everything else fades into insignificance; 2. You just have to tell everyone; and 3. You need to see and believe in Him for yourself!

The woman at the well saw Jesus, the townsfolk all went out to see Jesus, but what about you - have you seen Jesus?

Job 42:1-6

 Job was a righteous man. God Himself affirmed this as satan tried accused him and tried to destroy his character before God. The Lord knowing Job's integrity allowed him to be tested and he lost almost everything but his life. In all this his wife urged him to give up and his 'friends' tried to convince him that he must have sinned greatly against God. In these verses Job realised although he feared God, his understanding and knowledge of Him was dark and clouded at best...until his eyes were opened!

John 1:29-34 

Once again we see here that John the Baptist cannot withhold himself as he sees the Lord Jesus walking towards him, he cries out, "Behold, the Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world." Jesus is the Lamb of God, the sin bearer, the penal substitution for His people. He was revealed to Israel but was to take away the sin of the world. No longer was the good news of God's salvation only for the Jews, but for all people from every nation, tribe and tongue. People across the whole world!

Luke 14:16-24

In this account Jesus tells of a great banquet in which many are invited and many accept the invitation on face value. However as the banquet is announced, those invited begin giving terrible excuses for being not attending. Join us as we delve into the invitation and supper call, the rejection of the invitation, the report and the reaction. The Lord's banquet will be fully attended and those from all walks of life, rich, poor, etc and those from the highways and hedges will fill the house. May we never get comfortable in our churches where friends and family gather and where the invitation to know Christ and have a seat at His table goes out only to those who we deem respectable...May it never be. Can God change the antisocial trouble makers, drug abusers, drunkards, etc? There is space in the kingdom of God for such miserable and wretched sinners. The Lord says come!

John 1:19-28

 John baptist ruffled the feathers of both the religious of the day and of the worldly society too. Multitudes came out into the wilderness to hear him and to be baptised into the baptism of repentance. He was clear that he was not the Christ and that He who was to follow was far greater than him. He called the religious hypocrites a 'brood of vipers' and challenged the King about his adulterous relationship with his brothers wife. Calling out religious pretenders and speaking out against the wrongs of society made him a marked man and eventually cost him his head. But his action grabbed attention and caused them to ask, "Who are you?" Are we the Church like John today, or are we afraid that if we stand for Christ, we too may lose our heads?
