This Nickel Beer Company IPA is my not so secret obsession.  Equal parts "new school" tropical and "old school" bitterness.  It's also a beer that tells a story about San Diego, listen and find out what it is.

The  studio smells like jalapeños and I'm in total fear of what is about to happen in my mouth (and insides).  But, Tom promises that this isn't going to burn...right.

Pork belly!  Two big tributes for a Tuesday!  One, a beer that pays homage to Tom's Great Grandfather C.C. O'Neill and two, a sandwich that tips it's cap to one of the great pillars of San Diego Beer Big Nate. 

Tom is back!  Our good friend from up on the mountain has descended from Julian to join us all week for delicious Nickel Beer Company Beers (and some choice food pairings)!  We start off the week nice and easy with Lake Cuyamaca Lager and some Beer Cheese.

Going into the weekend a little hazy!

South O has taken a lot of influence from their surrounding area, today's beer is no exception as their IPA pays tribute to one of the more legendary homes in Oceanside.

What is a "Bogan" exactly? South O has dedicated a rather fantastic Pale Ale to this Australian term for the kind of person who blasts Kid Rock and only gets to see his kids on the weekend, but doesn't show up.

Cinco de Mayo happens on Friday and here's a local Oceanside Mexican style lager you should consider adding to your fridge.

A few weeks ago I got my first taste of South O Brewing and I wanted more!  This week they join me all week for Last Call.  We start things off on the lighters side with their version of Czech Style Pilsner named after O-side's very exclusive St Malo.

We end the week by taking the hazy IPAs to 11!  Only brewed seasonaly this beer is Bussin' (no literally, that's what it's called).
