T'was the day before St. Patrick's Day and we're drinking the local craft beer that you should be drinking to celebrate the holiday, Second Chance Brewing's Mulligan Irish Red (Amber Ale)

Every dog has it's day and Second Chance brewing believes that should be a beautiful New Day (IPA).  A great example of where San Diego IPAs have been and where they are going, balanced between tropical aromas and substantial bitterness.

Take an award winning sour beer and then throw some gummy candies in it.  What could go wrong?!...nothing!  Brain child of Virginia from Second Chance its a beer that just about anyone can agree that its delicious.

It's been three years since we last saw Second Chance Brewing in the Alt studios!  A lot has been going on with this local brewery and some of it starts with this beer we're enjoying on a Monday, a collab with the San Diego Gulls - Blue Line Blonde Ale

All week Dylan from Burning Beard has share old favorites and created a few new favorite beers.  So, it's fitting that we end the week with a beer that harkens back to the taste and style that got a lot of us hop-heads in to craft beer in the first place.

If you're gonna make a beer referencing the God Father of Punk then you better bring the liquid! Burning Beard does exactly that with their take on an East Coast Hazy Beer called Iggy Hops.

San Diego has LOTS of IPAs but what about ESBs?  Banksy ESB was the beer that turned me on to what makes Burning Beard such a cool brewery.

Lots of breweries collaborate with bands, but it takes a truly punk rock brewery to collab with a museum!
