Well the Snow Is Gone and Spring Has Sprung!Wait...what Snow?What a disappointing Winter, I LOVE Snow!A still valid indicator of Spring is When The Cliff Swallows Come Back To Mission San Juan Capistrano California, shortened thankfully in a Song Title.And that's how I will begin this Spring Series.It's For The Birds, lol!Join me for an Airborne Trip!

It's Celebrate Your Name, The Finale- and we've had John and Mary as surrogates for all of us.Just finished Mary, so I will conclude this short Series with John.Beginning with a set of tunes where the name John or Johnny is not in the Song Title, but he is the Protagonist!To close it all out, a Rocked-Up Traditional Folk Song about giving up Alcohol, Booze, Hootch, Moonshine, etc.!And just a little bit of a very very odd B-side to a hit single in 1967.There are so many songs left over, we'll have to check and see how John and Mary are doing at some future date.This Series was fun for me.I hope it was half as much for you!

Like I said last time, it caught my eye that I missed Celebrate Your Name Week, a holiday established in 1997 by Jerry Hill.A week for appreciating Names in general, and to have fun getting to know more about Names.I will break the rules and make it for two weeks- Songs For John And Mary.I did John songs in the first half hour.Need I tell you what is next?I am sure you will enjoy this chapter, but why would I include Thomas Edison?Give a listen and find out!

It's a belated Celebrate Your Name Week, a holiday established in 1997.A week for everyone worldwide to embrace and celebrate his or her name.In this 21st Century, the most common names for boy and girl babies are Jacob and either Sophia or Emily (depending upon the source).But if you combine the 20th and 21st Century, the Most Popular Names are still John and Mary!So there's the premise for this short Series, Songs For John And Mary.I'll start with John- no Male Chauvinist, just doing it cleverly Alphabetically, lol!

Continuing with The Originals and Covers show, and in this 2nd Half I was still thinking in Threes! During the break I thought of a 3rd version of the Song I c losed the First Half with.

 I'll have an Original that Elvis desperately wanted to Cover, but its lyrics were considered too racy for the general population. 

Elvis HIMSELF worked and re-wrote the lyrics in a more palatable fashion to please Colonel Tom and the record company, and had the big hit with it.

But The King did record the raunchier version, and I’ll play it!

Then a 50’s Classic surprisingly Covered in the 90’s.

And to end I’ll play what is probably my Favorite 50’s Ballad!All things considered, an Educational, Interesting Show...maybe, lol!

It’s been a while since I played any of The Originals – this is Volume 3- Songs we know very well, Originally done by other solo artists or groups.I'll begin with the Rolling Stones- it’s so well known by them it might be considered the Original.But it’s a Cover Version, and finally in True Stereo!No particular Rhyme Or Reason for these Songs, they just happened to be close by at the timeAlthough the fact I was recording the show on a Friday may have played into the next set.And for some reason I was thinking in Threes!Let’s have fun with this!

This is it, The Grand Finale!A big thank you to all the people who offered suggestions for Sound Effects In Song- some so good I actually used them, lol!After a couple of random tunes, for this final Episode I again chose the Human Voice as a Sound Effect- but this time by Known Persons in their field, their circle.You are in for a treat if you have never heard this Shel Silverstein song about a contented man missing just one thing in his life!I had a ball doing this Series, and naturally I hope you enjoyed it as well.With so many songs of this ilk, maybe someday I will re-visit these Sound Effects In Song.But for now join me for this closer, I think you’ll enjoy it!

More Sound Effects In Song, and a surprise for me.I went to play a Song from an album cut I KNEW had Sound Effects on it, but they weren’t in there.I dug out the single, played it, and there they were!Odd, they were on the mono single but not the stereo album track- but stranger things have happened.Among the Sound Effects in this Episode, The Radio, Rides, A Match, Dogs, A Train.It’s an enjoyable outing, with one more Chapter to go to the Finale!
