Is there a better time of year in the World than Christmas?Of course not!It's Wonderful.So it is time for the Annual Rockollections Christmas Party.The Theme Within A Theme this year is the 1960’s- ALL songs played this week will be from the 60’s, unless I foul up, lol!Included is a group that called themselves Christmas Spirit- made up of Mark Volman and Howard Kaylan of the Turtles along with Linda Ronstadt.They made one single in 1968, and I’ll play it.Plus much much more.It’s not the Same Old Same Old Christmas songs on this show.It never is, so please join me for a listen.

This is the home stretch for the Rockollections Fall Fashion Show with Shoes.In this final chapter, a few Songs about sending a Message with Shoes.Also a couple that didn't fit in anywhere else, but I wanted to play them.Then there are the Songs that amuse me because it is almost as if the Shoes are carrying the Wearer to where the Shoes want to go.Magically once the Shoes are put on, they take responsibility and the Wearer is just along for the ride...or the Walk, lol!To close it all out, and I gave it some thought, the best song I could think of that all of us who have taken this Footwear Journey could hear to soothe our aching feet!Untie Your Laces, Kick Off Your Shoes and Enjoy The Music!

The Holiday is getting very close as people are making there way Home For Thanksgiving.I try not to repeat songs on this Rockollections thing, so you more often than not will hear a song played and never hear me play it again!There are always exceptions of course, and I have one of my Thanksgiving Home Favorites in here!But each year I try to come up with different songs about Going Home.I ask you to try these on for size!I'll give the Final Word to Mary Chapin Carpenter and her wonderful song about how we let ambition and success distract us from how we got where we are- unnecessarily making it The Long Way Home!Take the damn trip anyway, lol!Happy Thanksgiving everybody!And I Thank YOU For Listening All Year Round!

A few years ago, I did a Series of shows on Fashion- not that I know anything about Fashion, but I do know Songs, lol!This time I will limit myself to just one aspect of apparel- Shoes.As you will hear me say, I fully expect and accept that I will say something politically incorrect or what may be considered sexist.But it will go for both genders, or whatever they are calling them or how many there now are!It is certainly no secret that Shoes mean more to Women than they do to most Men.Women seemingly can't own enough pairs of them!But I have discovered that Men sing about them more- a rather surprising discovery!I invite you to join me in my musical look at Shoes In Song.One size definitely does NOT fit all, lol!
