On this episode of the Rocky Mountain Freedom Zone Podcast,
Michelle Tanner was my guest. Michelle is happily married with Children, owns
her own private practice in the medical field. She is also on the St. George
City Council and does a podcast called The Michelle Tanner Podcast. We had an
extremely dynamic conversation concerning how she got in to politics. We also
discussed an issue the City Counsil faced in early January of last year. We
discussed how the Salt Lake Tribune mislead its readers concerning Michelle
Tanner as it pertains to that meeting. Then, we discussed what inspired her to
start podcasting. Our conversation was very free flowing and fascinating.
Before the conversation, I did explain to you why I told Michelle that I liked
the Salt Lake Tribune. However, I did acknowledge that there were at least 15

Natalie Clawson was my guest on this episode of the Rocky
Mountain Freedom Zone Podcast. Natalie is an attorney, and a mother of 5.
Natalie also has a Bachelor’s degree from BYU in political science. She also
has a Juris Doctorate from BYU. She has also worked for BYU Center for
International Law and Religion Studies. Natalie has also served on the PTA and
school Community Council. As you know, Natalie is Phil Lyman’s running for the Lieutenant
Governor of Utah. Natalie helped organize the Secure Vote Utah Initiative. We
talked a lot about the Utah Coccus system and why it has worked so well in the
past. At the end of this podcast, I ask “What is Phil Lyman like?” She gave a fascinating

May 04, 2024 Episode 58 Utah Off-grid Homesteading Community Festival
You may remember Episode 17 where I interviewed some folks
from Operation Self-reliance specifically some folks in The River Bed Ranch
Community. On this episode of the Rocky Mountain Freedom Zone podcast, I
interviewed Tom and Kathie Barns. They will be having a very unique homestead
festival called, Utah Off-grid Homesteading Community Festival at the River Bed
Ranch community. This is not your typical homestead convention. This festival
will be at the River Bed Ranch community from September 12, through the 14th.
This isn’t just a convention where speeches are given and products are sold.
This 3-day event consists of hands-on training and will consist of many topics
and classes from keeping and managing a beehive, green house building, soap
making, and a whole lot more. Folks, I have to tell you this is the most
fascinating episode I have done so far. I am extremely excited for this event
and I am going to try and make it to the festival. Now there will be a website
to sign up for this event. I hope that when you are done listening to this

lost the republican convention nominee of Salt Lake County a few weeks ago.
However, I did interview a new candidate running for a school board position who
barely won the state republican convention nominee last week. Thanks to the

Mountain Freedom Zone Podcast. Monica and I had a real deep discussion
concerning what’s happening in public schools across America. I highly encourage

Things aren’t always as they seem. Janalee Tobias was my
guest on this episode of the Rocky Mountain Freedom Zone. If you were to meet
Janalee or talk to her on the phone for the very first time without knowing her
history. You would think she was just a good old fashioned home maker in the
state of Utah and spends most of her time around children from age 3 to perhaps
age 11. As long as I have known Janalee, when I hear her voice, I still have a
hard time believing she has been politically active sense 1993. We discussed
how she got in to politics, what inspired her to start an organization called Women
against Gun Control, and we talked about her recent state senate run that she
lost at the Republican convention 2 weeks ago. We had a very fascinating
conversation. Oh, and by the way, Janalee is known a lot of children who
interact with her as the Candy Lady. So, in spite of her being politically
active, she still has the good old fashion home making woman in her. Buck up
