Saybie's Bitches slowly reassembles after the incident of the black obelisk, things are tense as things feel off. After some conversing they all decide to go downstairs to take Vermis on his offer to teach them to lucid dream. He leads them off into the wilds of the immetiterium and erects a ruined temple to teach them in. Upon entering, things quickly turn on their head as Vermis reveals himself to be the Antique. A fight breaks out, that puts the party through their paces. Once the fight concludes the party is able to collect Lucidium. An argument breaks out amongst the members, Morals and Saybie stay out in the wilds while Tresal heads back to the city.

The Swarm makes their way across the wilds of Hamadras. They hope to head off Mugadak before he can make it to Boomchester. Along their travels they are assaulted in their sleep by some sort of malevolent tree. The battle is difficult as the tree alters the terrain in order to protect itself and consume its enemies. After some struggle they inevitably have a nice bonfire to relax by for the rest of the evening. They eventually come face to face with their long lost companion once more. Finding he is far to in the depths of his madness to be saved, they fight to see who is standing in the end. The winner(s) are left to mourn the loser.

Saybie's Bitches fights off the nightmare and harvest Saybie's nightmare from the creature. They bring the nightmare to the Sire in exchange for Tresal's parents, who are in an emaciated state and are unconscious. The party brings Tresal's parents to Vermis's house in order to rest and have a base of operations. Upon arriving, Tresal's father awakens and instantly shows where Tresal gets their standoff-ish nature from. After some introductions and talking, Morals and Saybie go off to do some errands. Morals gets some food and drink, while Saybie beats up a drug dealer and makes a flower dime bag. Upon reconvening Saybie and Cornelius start fighting one another, leading to a bigger argument in the group. To which Morals storms off, going to the outskirts of the city.

The Swarm continues their journey through the lab after assisting the woman locked in one of the many cells. Pushing into the next room they are met with tall pale individuals. The woman had warned the party to not look at their faces or to get too close to them or else they would lash out at them. Johnny decides to take a peak at the ceiling to see how tall the room is but couldn't fight his instinct to look at one of the creatures faces. After the quarrel with one of the creatures the party rests, leaving Micca on watch for a small period of time to which they get called off down the corridor as the party sleeps. Waking up the party frantically looks for Micca in the corridors behind them and then eventually starts moving forward again. Eventually being met with odd copies of themselves, that they eventually move around to get to an elevator on the opposite side. Getting out of the elevator they are met with a unnaturally enlarged and pained Micca. After slipping past them the party is met with horrifying attempted duplicates of themselves. A fight breaks out and after some incredible acts of ingenuity they vanquish these creatures. To which they move into the final room and are confronted by the entity who runs the facility.

The Swarm continues through the tunnels of this facility not so cautiously moving through the corridors. As they activate almost every trap along the way, mutating Johnny and Wordweaver further. They are soon assaulted by creatures that move so fast it seems as if they are teleporting around them. Eventually the group comes across this large cat like creature with a fleshy frill for a head with multiple eyes. After some attempts to befriend the creature, Noesiah intimidates it and then eventually kills it. Moving farther down the corridors they come across a hallway filled with cells, Johnny being all too familiar with this section explains that is where the test subjects are held. The party eventually opens a cell to find a mutilated woman and with their combined efforts put her back together again.

Saybie's Bitches meet up and head off towards the floating island in order to meet with the Sire. Upon entering the island Tresal is met with the creature that sparked their entire hunt for aberrations in the first place. The Aboleth that took their parents away from them, it takes all of their control not to lash out on the creature as they discuss what could be traded for their parents. Upon being told that they need an innocent persons nightmare they reject and leave and attempt to devise a better plan to get their parents back. After much chaos and thinking, they eventually take the Sire's deal and go to collect Saybie's nightmare.

The Swarm and Johnny start to figure out how to get into this underground facility. After making their way in, they quickly discover that this place is not on their plane. Moving down the corridors they come across a few off-shoots and taking time to explore them all. One of which had an air lock that Johnny and Noesiah get open but are quickly getting burned by some sort of acidic tar like goo. At the end of the other halls are some creatures that are invisible and hunt them down, but Wordweaver makes quick work of one allowing them to pass by. As they move through they set off a series of traps that start to mutate and alter those who come in contact with it. Quickly disfiguring Johnny and Wordweaver, much to Johnnys discontent.

Saybie's Bitches finally make their way into the plane of dreams, learning that they have just under a month to get out or become part of the realm. They start moving through this strange dream realm, exploring the dreamy expanse. For the first time ever, Tresal dreams and it is a traumatizing nightmare where their worst nightmares come true. After which the party moves along and finds an odd individual who gives them directions to the central city of this realm. Dreaming their way to the city they all eventually enter the menagerie of the city. Which is filled with oddities and wonders to explore, which Saybie and Morals go off and do. While Tresal storms off to find a way to find their parents, eventually submitting a request to the Sire in order to find out what's going on here.

The Swarm goes into the basement of the Boomchester estate in order to talk to the occupants. They learn about the abilities and wants of the occupants, learning that Johnny is providing them with therapy and a proper place to stay. Wordweaver goes off and finds an orc man named Gel and decides to go on a series of dates with him. Xalla starts to teach the kids and Johnny basic morals and ethics in general. Noesiah stays with Johnny in order to learn even more about the occupants. Asking one of the occupants to spy on Mugadak, they instead get his attention and indirectly start to bring him to Boomchester. Eventually Noesiah decides to go on a hike with Johnny per his request. Reaching the top of this mountain they share a nice moment talking about life. This moment is ruined upon the discovery that the lab that Johnny came from was reoccupied and being built upon.

While Morals and Saybie make their way back to meet Tresal. Tresal and Mountebank decide to go back to Philipsburg in order to collect some supplies. Moving through a heavy fog they are disturbed by the lack of noise coming from the city as they approach. Catching sight of a lit house in the distance, they move towards it in search of life. Finding an old couple who are actively being haunted and after some talking and negotiating Tresal says they will help with their issue. Waiting through the night, the haunting slowly begins with sourceless footsteps and slamming doors. Eventually the husband goes missing and the small group moves around to investigate. Coming across an odd artifact before being called out to, by the woman that she found her husband who was worse for wear. Resettling the man in bed they are assaulted by an unknown entity that starts to posses the elderly couple.
