  • Heavy Metal Aeons 1-1: Null Zone Blitz

    In a slight detour from our regular programming, we bring you an ultra special Super Metal game created by the creator of "Monster of the Week," Michael Sands! Oh and guess what? MICHAEL FRIKKIN SANDS is on the show with us to playtest an online version of his game called "Heavy Metal Aeons." The game was inspired by some of Michael's favorite Metal songs growing up. Adam, Amy, Justin and David ('member him?) join forces to try and take down the Time God in this scenario from Heavy Metal Aeons called "The Chrono Storm."

    Today you'll meet: Glad Gary, a Nerdy Road Warrior from the aftermath of the apocalypse who just wants his internet back, Lady Harley, a Mystical Cat who isn't taking any of your crap, A Troll Killer known as "Monster Hunter (TM)" who doesn't say much, but kicks a lotta ass, and Baxter, the Chimpstronaut who happened upon a lazer sword and decided he was gonna use it! Together, they must break out of the time prison known as "The Null Zone" so they can take their revenge upon the Snail-faced Time God!

  • Savage Worlds 1-9: A Bull in an Optima Shop

    In the Penultimate episode of Savage Worlds, the inevitable battle with Optima takes a weird turn when Kal convinces Optima to duel Istros in one-on-one combat. Kal, Swillary and the Avions watch and cheer as these two behemoths battle it out for the right to rule over the Avions.

    Swillary makes a call to Ferris, Kal revs up the crowd, and Istros loses his cool.

  • Savage Worlds 1-7: A God Damns It!

    Today, the crew comes face-to-face with the Avion God known as Optima. A deal must be struck in order to survive. Swillary hides her identity from Optima, Kal makes a bargain he doesn't plan on honoring, and Istros stands up for George Barbara, and his own morals!

    • Hey gang, if you read this, I wanted to address something from today's show. You'll notice that Optima is supposed to have "they/them" pronouns; you'll also notice that I struggle to say them at times and then correct myself. I wanted to say that as a small podcast, it's been tough to get inclusivity outside of our own cast; as such, I've been working to keep our characters from being white-washed or strictly straight, or binary. "They/Them" is not part of most of our regular vernacular yet when referring to gender/pronouns. It is my hope that this will be a good practice to make it part of our regular conversations and vocabulary when referencing people who are non-binary. So, please forgive my struggles and the misappropriation of pronouns that me or my cast may do every so often. I promise it is something we all wish to be better about, and we hope you'll stick with us through our endeavors! We also hope to get some exciting guests on the show soon, so keep an eye out for that!

      Hey gang! Today our favorite crew deals with the aftermath of their bloody battle with the Avions. Optima is on their way and our heroes have to make a run for it!

      Swillary makes an attempt to heal Kal's wounds. Istros makes friends with a rogue Avion, and Kal loses more bullets and some of his mind!

      Today, the dirt on mars gets a little redder (more red?)

      The Avions reveal that their leader is a being named Optima. Kal cares little about this and sets an improvised plan in motion to get his friends out of trouble, which sets a bloody battle in motion. Istros nearly meets his match, Swilary nearly loses control, and Kal nearly loses his life!
