We've had some big events in the Rolling Rocks Radio family. Brother Jerry's son Dylan turned 18 in October and repeat guest Brother Cody welcomed his new son Roman into the world in October as well. These two august occasions happened within the same week. That coincidence can't be overlooked so we had Cody back on and he and Jerry discussed fatherhood, what they wanted for their sons, and their experiences as fathers. Things got pretty deep and The Darksiders showed a little bit of their softer side. All the while Scott plied them with Early Times Bottled in Bond.

Brother Jerry and Scott finally get back together after a couple of weeks of guest and travel to have a "normal" episode. They discuss the Khabib vs Gaethje card from two weeks ago, how the UFC should structure a 155lb tournament, and the return of Mike Tyson to the squared circle.
There's also a little correction needed. Brother Cody brought in a video titled "Mike Tyson wantdss to fight Joe Budden during his LIVE podcast (things Get Intense)" from YouTube. It was supposed to be an excerpt from Iron Mike's podcast Hotboxin' With Mike Tyson where Mike goes off on fellow podcaster Joe Budden. This video was a fair amount of the discussion in the third segment of the show. After a little investigation it turns out this video is an edit and TOTALLY changes the interaction between Mike Tyson and his guests. As we mention in the show the link to the video is below, but we're also going to add the link to the actual podcast so everyone interested can hear the actual exchange.

Rolling Rocks Radio is excited to welcome team member and BJJ Blue Belt Liz Kapp to the show this week! Liz is a member of the Blue Belt Mafia and one of the core team members at Total Defense Martial Arts. On this episode we get into Liz's history, where she came from, how she got into Jiu Jitsu, her work in the social work field, and being a world traveler. LIz didn't have a bottle preference tonight, so we went with Angel's Envy.

Rolling Rocks Radio is proud to host the Warmaster himself, Nathan Farnsworth, also known to the interwebs as SteelJanz! This is the first part of a two part crossover show where Nathan will appear on Rolling Rocks Radio and next week Scott and Jerry will appear on Nathan's podcast, The Barbarian Rhetoric Podcast! Nathan asked for HellCat Maggie Irish whisky, so the boys pulled the bottle from Episode 7 out of the vault.
On the show the boys talked about Nathan's background, how he got started in the "Self Improvement" social media sphere, and what it means to live like a barbarian in modern times.

Once again life intrudes and Scott and Jerry have to record separately. Jerry is drinking Screwball Peanut Butter whisky as he breaks down the fights from last weekend and Scott reports in from the road with tips for older BJJ players. The boys will be back together next week and will talk more fights, BJJ thoughts, and an announcement about their October guest.

Episode 15 is live and we welcome fellow Total Defense Martial Arts team mate Cody Carter! Code is a white belt, father, husband, and one of the nicest guys you'll ever meet. Cody is also one of two Total Defense Martial Arts team members who has actually fought in Mixed Martial Arts competitions.
This episode we went deep and we went LOOOOOONG. Brother Cody, Brother Jerry, and Scott talk about Cody's backstory, what drove him into MMA, why he got out of the game, and what brought him back to BJJ at Total Defense Martial Arts. Cody was a great sport and Scott and Jerry bait him into getting wound up about John Jones moving to heavyweight, The Diaz brothers, and a LOT of other stuff.
We had a great time having Cody on and we look forward to having him on again.

Brother Jerry and Scott couldn't get their schedules together this week so Scott recorded a single episode this week and discussed how coming back to BJJ from Corona is like coming back after an injury.

We tried to keep it a little light this week. There's been a lot going on so we went for a fantasy tournament pitting the UFC roster versus their Bellator counterparts. Brother Jerry came up with this after the Scott Coker vs Dana White shenanigans over the last week. Then the boys discuss the UFC on ESPN 15 post fight press conference where Dana AGAIN proves he's the most gangster president in sports, then Jerry talks personal responsibility. The bottle for this week was Buffalo Trace, smuggled up to Virginia from Kentucky.
Tonight is also the world premier of Episode 11 guest Matt Warner's ad for this book Empire of the Goddess
