In this episode we dive deep into the other pandemic Mexico has been dealing with for decades: Femicide. We discuss how the widespread culture of machismo leads to troubling numbers of the assault and murder of women. 

We also introduce you to Diana the Bus Driver Hunter who decided to send a message to the men of Juarez that women are strong and will fight back by committing a series of vigilante murders against the cities bus drivers, a group known to harass and sexually assault lone female passengers.

In this episode we head to the German occupied Netherlands in the midst of WW2.  Freddie & Truus Oversteegen, two young sisters, join the Dutch Resistance and use their gender, youth and perceived innocence to spy on and eventually kill Nazi soldiers. 

In the resistance they meet and team up with Hannie Schaft a fellow Nazi fighter, the legendary “girl with the red hair”, whom Hitler himself wanted captured and killed. 

Together the three were an integral part of the resistance until the Nazis were defeated and the war came to an end.

In this episode we take you through the nightmare that was daily life for Krestina, Angelina, and Maria Khachaturyan.  

These three sisters spent four years suffering psychological, physical and sexual abuse at the hands of their father. When they decided enough was enough, the sisters took matters into their own hands, sparking a national debate on the plight of victims of domestic violence in Russia. A country whose leadership and their deep patriarchal values led to the decriminalization of domestic violence in 2017. This leaves women and children with nearly zero protections against those that cause them harm. 

Join us as we discuss vigilantism and its place in societies like these and what can be done to educate and change the hearts and minds of those who perpetuate  the “Patriarchy” in modern civilization.
